First, we apologize for not posting since February 6th. But with today’s posting we hope to bring you up-to-date on the many strange events that unfortunately shape our world. As usual the Trump era yields much distaste, embarrassment and failure. We will try to focus on the worst of these and observe their impact on you and all fellow Americans. Because we have so many issues to post we will keep our comments as brief as possible. Anyone who chooses to expand their knowledge has the internet to affirm and verify what we say here. We act on facts and where theory is employed–we tell you this is our opinion. The following items are in no particular order because what seems most important today may be a trivial matter tomorrow and vice-versa.
PORTRAYING THE OBAMAS AS APES
Racism lives in the heart of our president. Did he really think he could get away with the portrayal of the Obamas as apes and explain that it was a parody of “The Lion King”? Do you think he was too stupid to see the connotation? Can you picture any other president doing this? We think his press secretary is so uncomfortable spinning his lies that she decided to start a family. Karoline Leavitt is pregnant and has found a way out before she makes an even bigger fool of her image.
UKRAINE-RUSSIA-THE US
Trump is now proposing that peace will be accomplished in Ukraine by March (2026?). He says this without including President Zelenskyy in the discussion and talking possibly to Putin. Russia continues to attack Ukraine and we continue to ignore their plight by ceasing all financial and military aid. He’s too occupied with Epstein. (And, BTW, have you noticed that Israel is still bombing and killing Palestinians?)
MEASLES OUTBREAK
There are now nearly 1,000 active cases of measles in America. This totally preventable disease is spreading and will no doubt reach the catastrophic level after college spring break travel. We suggest that all parents of college students get vaccinated immediately–especially if their child will be travelling soon. And remember, any student who travels can return and become a carrier to your child.
GRAMMY SONGS–NOT HARDLY
Yes, your blog editor is a member of the older generation but really…we listened to all the recordings–you can’t call them “songs” because most of the “artists” can’t sing. The lyrics are either filthy or non-sensical…in some cases they are both and simply repeated over and over. It’s sad that today what is called “music” is such a low bar.
PRISON POPULATION MATTERS
Currently, nearly 2 million prisoners are housed in America. Many of them reside in so-called “swing states”. Imagine–with all the election shenanigans now being pulled by the GOP–Trump offering to pardon any prisoner in any swing states who swears to vote for GOP candidates. Of course, some will need special state laws to be over ridden because some states do not allow convicted felons to vote–but, desperate times call for desperate measures. If Trump is willing to pardon the world’s drug kingpin who supplied 400 tons of cocaine to Americans causing thousands of American deaths–what would stop him from padding voting rolls with dangerous convicts?
FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA VOTING RECORDS
Two comments: (1) Trump won in 2024 with the voting rolls that were in place–why does he feel the need to change what worked for him in 2024? and, (2) is this “trumped up” (pun intended) process designed to produce a fake report of fraud so he has an excuse to nationalize the 2026 midterm elections? He wasn’t successful in Minneapolis where he hoped to incite a violent rot and use that as his excuse to take over control of elections so the Georgia project is “Plan B”.
THE HEALTH CARE MESS
Trump’s BBB caused–among other disastrous results–many hospitals to close or curtail some services. In Kentucky alone 35 rural hospitals are closing. So he dumped $12 billion into the “hospital relief” fund to be distributed to the states. Two problems: (1) that amount is less than 10% of what hospitals need to cover their Medicaid revenue losses; and (2) even if those hospitals could survive, the vast majority of the potential patients in their service area would not be admitted BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO HEALTH CARE INSURANCE. This is just another example of Stephen Miller’s limited knowledge of how the health care system is supposed to work.
PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOURS $$$ COMPARED
This week the tours tournament purses (the total amount of money to be divided among the players) is strikingly different. The American tour (Riviera-Los Angeles) has $20 million in prize money; The Ladies tour (playing in Thailand) has a $1.8 million purse; and the LIV-Saudi tour (playing in early March in Hong Kong) will be playing for $30 million. The power of ad money and the Saudi Wealth Fund are apparent. The question remains: why do the Saudi’s sponsor a pro golf schedule when golf isn’t popular and never will be in their region?
CLIMATE DOWNWARD SPIRAL
We continue to watch evidence of climate change happening everywhere. Glaciers are melting faster than ever before, farmers are changing crop plantings due to temperature and drought patterns, tides are higher and getting worse along the coasts, coral reefs that sustain a variety of sea life are dying, pollution is again returning after the brief COVID-caused break. And our president is exaggerating the problems by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, failing to renew the electric vehicle tax credits that expired, terminating all Federal funding to wind and solar renewable source projects and removing mileage standards from car maker regulations. He’s favoring oil execs who financially supported his re-election. Basically, he’s buying their support with the health of our lungs and those of our kids.
GHISLAINE MAXWELL: A STRATEGY
Here’s a suggestion: The Dems should offer to meet with Maxwell. Her attorney should welcome the offer because it will make his job (to obtain a pardon) much easier if Trump thinks Maxwell could provide useful details–and we all know she could. Trump won’t pardon her until after the midterm elections because he fears election impact so this offer will speed things up. Maxwell knows Trump could be impeached if the Dems win control in November so she wants an answer NOW. This will Trump in a corner. He can’t pardon her without severely damaging GOP candidates in November and yet he must pardon her to keep her silence intact. The Dems should recognize this move and publicly announce their intent as part of the Epstein file inquiry. Todd Blanche, Assistant Attorney General had his private interview–now it’s the Dems turn. Maxwell must be wondering if she’ll end up like Epstein.
TRUMP Rx: REALLY?
As usual Trump has caused a problem and now Stephen Miller thinks he can solve it by promoting drug discounts negotiated by Trump and administered by the Trump organization. The internet is unclear about who actually owns TrumpRx. But it is also very clear that his negotiated discounts will probably not save much money for anyone. In his usual screwed up announcement Trump said he negotiated up to 1000% discounts. That would mean–mathematically–that the drug company would pay you 9 times the cost of the drug to take it. Case closed on moronic statements.
SELECTIVE TARIFFING
We don’t know where the recent SCOTUS decision on tariffs will go from here but you should know that Trump excused Vietnam of all tariffs during his tariff infliction because his business signed a contract worth a billion dollars to build a golf course in Vietnam. This is jus another case of Trump violating the emoluments clause in the Constitution…oh well, what’s another crime in the Trump reign?
DON’T BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ
In late December, 2025, Gannett published a sizeable article on the economic forecast for 2026. First, they overstated the estimated Gross Domestic Product. They guessed it at 4.4% for the quarterly report while it actually came in at 1.4%. They downplayed inflation which has risen and they expected unemployment to level off–it hasn’t, it has increased. Now we have the Trump-controlled Bureau of Labor Statistics, where the last person to report negative info was immediately relieved of her duties, reporting that new job creation is about 1/3rd of what was expected. We wonder how long before Trump fires another BLS Director. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY NEWS TRUMP CONTROLS AS MEDIA NEWS. CORPORATIONS FEAR HIM AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT JUMPS WHEN HE WHISPERS.
MEDIA COWARDS
The list is growing. Trump is using his power to favor his donors, exact revenge on his opposition and fill his pockets with whatever he can rake off. So far, ABC, Apple, CBS, NBC (by separating itself from MSNBC) and others are trying to appease the bully. He’s using the Federal Communications Commission head, Brendan Carr, to focus on anyone who opposes him. He tried to pull Jimmy Kimmel off the air and was successful until it impacted Disney’s bottom line. This is the Nazi playbook. Keep the public in the dark as to reality and they will wake up one morning under a dictatorship. DON’T BE FOOLED.
COPYING A NAZI LONG TERM PLAN
Read the Project 2025 Report. It contains many hateful, racist, sexist methods that Trump denied knowing about during his campaign and then promptly initiated after being elected. But a frightening long term project is aimed at encouraging marriages to increase the number of favored voters down the road. Trump proposes monetary incentives for couples to marry and have children. He copies the Hitler plan to encourage Aryan supremacy for the 1,000 years he expected the Third Reich (Germany) to dominate the world. Be careful…just another Nazi strategy. It’s an incredible “reach” to even imagine sucha strategy and that shows how closely he follows the Hitler playbook. And don’t be mislead, “Detention Center” is just another term for “Concentration Camp”.
GALLUP POLLS COPOUT
Presidential polls are becoming so negative for Trump that the most trusted and reliable polling company, Gallup, has decided not to include presidential popularity in future results. They of course offer some non-sensical logic but it’s a copout to the power of Trump. When you can’t say anything good–DON’T SAY ANYTHING!
SCOTUS STANDING BY THE CONSTITUTION–FINALLY
Deciding that Trump cannot inflict tariffs without Congressional OK is a major step toward SCOTUS redemption. The justices know now how wrong their decision was to grant Trump immunity and they are trying to rein him in. But his childish reaction against them personally and his new global tariff at 15% will cause more GOP problems. Republican candidates will have a tough time convincing their campaign audiences that Trump and the GOP care about their futures. Look for GOP members of Congress to rebel and look for Dem members to sit back and let them fight it out. The Dems know that a 15% global tariff will convert many “red state” voters to their cause.
NEW TRUMP EPSTEIN DISTRACTIONS
Trump is releasing all UFO files asap. He’s so desperate that he will risk whatever is/is not in those files. Think about it…if there is solid proof of alien life in Area 51 (Nevada) or anywhere else, the nation’s blood pressure will soar. And if the files reveal nothing, it was just a distracting blip on the radar. Another distraction is the Kristie Noem $70 million flying palace that she and her adulterous lover use to travel the country as they oversee the killing of American citizens like in Minneapolis. Even if Trump has to throw Noem under the bus it might buy him some time.
THE EPSTEIN FILES UPDATE
We saved this for last because it is the silver bullet that should end the Trump nightmare. Epstein’s files have been mishandled forever. Biden didn’t re-open them because he thought it was a closed case. Then Musk told the world that Trump was in the files. Now we hear that–despite only seeing 50% of the files on a heavily redacted basis–Trump is mentioned 38,000 times. The redaction is now used to hide the perps identities while the victims names, addresses and phone numbers are open for public viewing. It seems that this DOJ has no more respect for the victims than the Epstein clients had when they assaulted them. The Dems need to ask the Supreme Court to rule on the Epstein Transparency Law passed by Congress. SCOTUS needs to open ALL RECORDS TO ALL MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. And then, if victim’s names are redacted, all voters should have access to ALL file materials under the Freedom of Information Act. And that all needs to happen NOW–not in 10 years. The urgency is dictated by the possibility that some of the candidates in the November election may be guilty of child sex predation. And the voting public must know whether any of their choices are unfit for public service…just like King Charles did in the case of former Prince Andrew. Write to your officials and demand to know this very material information.
