This year hurricane season will extend to November 3rd and possibly beyond. Of course, we’re referring to the midterm elections, raucous campaigning, controlling the ballot count, certifying the results and accepting the outcomes. Donald Trump is decoying a convincing story that he fully expects to control the count and will be able to report who wins each race. While he alienates almost all voter blocs, antagonizes our allies, wages a grossly illegal and unpopular war, causes inflation with tariffs and oil supply disruption, touts his ballroom and arch, he acts like he is desperate to win votes. Now he’s offered a $5,000 bribe to every adult if Republicans control the Congress after November 3rd elections. Apart from the legality of buying votes he seems to shift to a strategy of “this election is really up for grabs”. We see this as the brainchild of Stephen Miller. It’s called deception…fake left and go right. He sees the Dems looking the wrong way, namely relaxing because they sense victory, while he steals the outcome. DON’T BE FOOLED. Elon Musk and several other billionaires are already flooding the media with fake ads that claim false information about Democrat candidates. The ads can’t brag on Republican accomplishments because there aren’t any. So their plan is to confuse voters, bring opponents down to their level and generally cause chaos. Remember inflation, immigration, the Iran war, ICE tactics, ballroom and arches and all the lying. VOTE DEMOCRATIC !! All Republican candidates will suck up to their leader. If he has harmed you with inflation or in any other way, VOTE DEMOCRATIC to purge the cult followers who will continue to harm you if re-elected.
In our typical posting we address specific news since our last time around. We offer these in random order because each visitor to this website has different priorities. What is important to one is possibly unimportant to another. And so we begin again to offer our views on the state of our lives.
THE TRIAL OF KHALID SHEIKH MOHAMMED:
This is the individual who has been arrested, charged and detained as the mastermind behind the 9/11 New York City attack on the Twin Trade Towers. Some time ago, KSM, as he is referred to on occasion, confessed to the disaster of 9/11. His confession was supposed to be traded in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table. Recently a judge declared the confession inadmissible because theoretically it was given under extreme duress. It was suggested that members of US law enforcement tortured him to extract the confession. This conclusion by the judge seems to have little proof and so it raises a question about why a sitting judge would overturn the key piece of evidence in such a heinous crime. So we, at anothersview, looked behind the curtain in an effort to connect the dots–if any. What we found may be nothing or it could rock the political scene immensely. KSM spent many years with his family working in Qatar. Much of his adult life–including the planning of numerous terrorist attacks–was centered on Qatar. Last year, without any reason, Qatar offered our president a $400 million jumbo jet. He was quick to point out that this was a grand gesture. But was it that or a transaction? We know it’s a stretch but consider these facts: KSM had many friends with money in Qatar; the US had very little interaction of any kind with Qatar prior to the gift; our president monetizes every aspect of his Office; and accepting the gift was a violation of the emoluments clause in the US Constitution. The Dems argued at the time that accepting such a gift could create an obligation on the part of the US to reciprocate. But, what if the goods to be traded were already agreed to, namely the release of KSM, the man who killed nearly 3,000 American citizens? Of course, we can’t prove this but it’s interesting to consider. And while you’re mulling that over, add the “transactional” nature of our president to the other bombshell topic, Epstein. Would it be transactional for Trump to pardon and release Ghislane Maxwell, a convicted child sex predator after the midterm election is over? He’s a wheeler-dealer, our president. So don’t be surprised if you see the unthinkable happen.
MAIL-IN VOTING CHAOS
In 2024 Trump and a majority of GOP candidates were elected to run the country. But, ever since that election, Trump has lobbied long and hard to change the process. If you win a game, why do you want to change the rules the next time around? Answer: you don’t want to change the rules, you want to guarantee the outcome. So, you cheat. You gerrymander the vote away from certain voters, you deport as many questionable voters as possible. You make voting difficult because you know that fewer voters increase your chances for success. You try to change the method of voting by tightening up absentee voter rules and outlawing mail-in voting as much as possible. You shut down as many polling places in areas where you’re most likely to lose the count. In other words, you control as much of what goes into the voting process as you can. And so it is with mail-in votes. Trump does mail-in himself and at the same time says it’s a corrupt process. Typical Trump…both sides of his mouth…what’s OK for me is not OK for you. We are within 60 days of the election and some states have already sent their ballots out. But Trump wants the Postal Service to control who gets a ballot in each state. This is ludicrous. The USPS is not staffed for this. There is no system to accomplish this task. In fact, the recent whistleblower leak says that the computer system that would be used is untested and would disallow thousands of votes that will be discarded inappropriately. As it stands now, the Supreme Court has not agreed to hear Trump’s latest petition. Each day it becomes more “undoable”. Let’s see which way the wind blows.
EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN
It has been reported that a 13 year old girl will testify that Donald J. Trump assaulted her on three occasions. She has documented those dates and supposedly will pursue her attacker in court. We cannot verify the source of this report. But, if proven, it will rock the very foundation of the White House. Our contention is that the 33% of voters who still cling to supporting Trump do so because they do not want to know if they’re supporting a child sex predator. If proven, worlds will collapse for the GOP. This is the silver bullet that no one can deny, distract or delay from the public.
TRAIFFS GONE WILD!!!!
So now we’re having a trade war with Canada? and right before the elections? Does Trump not see the immediate economic pain he’s inflicting on all states, including the two swing states of Michigan and Wisconsin? How would you like to be a GOP candidate having a town hall meeting campaign stop in Michigan or Wisconsin? Brutal!!! And why? Was whatever Canada was doing all the years before so terrible that our chief clown had to pull the tariff trigger NOW? Couldn’t it have waited another two months? We guess he needs the tariff money for the arch. And so, it’s OK if the people suffer a bit. He said he’s not concerned about their economic situation–and this proves his point!!
SPEAKING OF THE ARCH
There is a structure height restriction in Washington DC of 130 feet. The proposed arch is set to rise 250 feet and block the view into Arlington Cemetery. Yes, it’s unpopular. Veterans, residents ,and mostly everyone else sees it as a monstrosity. And we mentioned in the above article, how much will this cost and where is the money coming from? Private donors, yea, right…like the ballroom. Dozens of patriots have written to Trump urging him to drop the idea. And, again, the timing could not be worse. Millions of poor kids have lost their food benefits (The SNAP PROGRAM) and millions more families have lost their health insurance. And GOP candidates will get an earful when they try to tout GOP accomplishments. What is this deranged clown thinking?
MICHAEL COHEN: THE TOTAL WHORING ON FULL VIEW
Michael Cohen was Trump’s lawyer for many years. He once said he’d take a bullet for Donald. Then he facilitated hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and was convicted of election obstruction. He served 3 years in prison–despite the fact that the man he obstructed the election for, Trump, did no jail time. How often do you see the shooter go to jail but the man who ordered the shoot to go free? The teflon Don survives again. When Cohen emerged from jail he made it a personal vendetta to get Trump–appearing on MSNOW many times. But recently, Cohen has made another about-face. He now repudiates the testimony he gave at his trial and says it was untrue–much to the satisfaction of Trump. Problem is: Michael admitted he lied under oath during his trial. He may have even received a reduced sentence because he cooperated. But now he says they were all lies. Why isn’t someone charging him with perjury?
GREENLAND: LAND OF OPPORTUNITY?
There has been a disturbing trend in printed media to try to give respectability to our president–who deserves no such treatment. Recently, Gannett noted that Trump wants to assume control over Greenland because of the treatment of their women…no, that’s not a joke. Here’s a misogynist who’s so concerned about the treatment of women that he wants to invade the country. The Gannett article keeps referring to him as President Donald Trump whereas before it was “Trump”. The kicker is the timing of the “wrongs” done to Greenland’s women. It stopped in 1955 and a formal apology for historical actions was issued. In short, all the women who were mistreated are long dead. The last two generations have not seen any recurrence….sound like good reason to invade to you???
FOOD RECALLS: YOU BET YOUR LIFE
The Trump administration proudly announced that food recalls are down in number by 15% this year. We wonder if that’s good news or bad news. The number of on-site food inspectors in the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration is down about 50%. So, are we finding less food that should be recalled because we have fewer inspectors. Or is there really a decrease in food processor shortcuts that cause unsafe products to appear on your grocery shelf? The problem is this: food inspectors stop a problem before someone dies or is seriously ill. Finding the culprit after someone dies doesn’t bring them back. Be careful and watch for recalls whether you’re eating in or dining out. They all get the same food ingredients from the same source.
QUICK TAKES….
- Trump continues to peddle his $100,000/month scam to provide insider info to his rich buddies. We ask two questions: isn’t this a violation of the emoluments clause? and, even if Trump is immune from insider trading rules, anyone who buys his service should be guilty of breaking those rules, shouldn’t they?
- Under the heading “pettiness”, our esteemed leader is trying to rename Lake Ontario as Lake America. Of course it will be changed back when he loses out-soon we hope. But the interesting thing is which companies are changing their maps to recognize this petty act? Google, Apple and others are caving to the king. What does that say about their leadership?
- It is disturbing that John Roberts, Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, sided with Trump on the construction of the totally unnecessary ballroom. Without any adherence to historical society rules and no awareness that he is a “renter” not an owner and has no rights to demolish anything during his temporary tenure, Trump demolished the East Wing. Initially he said private funds -no tax money–would pay for it. But, after he was well into the project he asked Congress for a billion tax dollars to finish it. What a con man!!!
- The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released a favorable job creation report. This is causing some problems. Trump controls the stats of the BLS. So he approved that number. He wanted to show that he’s being successful in bringing jobs back to a “Made-In-America” image. Two issues: even if the numbers are accurate, 95% of the new jobs were nonmanufacturing; and with increasing job numbers the Federal Reserve is reluctant to lower interest rates (something Donald wants desperately for his real estate business). In fact, these job numbers suggest that raising interest rates is more likely. What a dilemma for Donald??? What’s a clown to do? Hoisted by his his own petards!!!
- Trump’s solution to the big increase in beef prices has ranchers all ticked off. Beef is up about 22% for the year. The war in Iran raised the cost of feed for cattle ranchers. So Trump-in his haste to fix the problem–announced that he was waiving the tariff on foreign beef and would soon flood the market supply to bring down costs. The problem is that American ranchers didn’t want the competition because they already had priced into their cattle what they needed to earn to stay solvent. Alas, Donald shot himself in the foot. He at once alienated another group of GOP voters and didn’t solve the problem.
- Trump announced that he had secured billions of barrels of oil from Venezuela. While that sounds like the beef story, it’s a little different. The foreign beef was table ready when it got here. But the Venezuelan oil won’t be ready for the pump for about 5 years. It’s more like dirty syrup and we have no refineries in the US currently to distill the muck…no cracking tower is capable of refining it.
- The transactional president is now planning to sell off some acreage in Yosemite National Park to real estate developers. We’re talking 2 acres for an access road to some land the developers already own. This will be a trade. Kingsbarn, the developer, will be a partner to the deal with the US Government. Trust our judgement…Trump is using Yosemite as a network tool for his family real estate business. Why else would a sitting president suggest such an unpopular move during campaigning season?
- What measles outbreak? Two Pennsylvania children died of measles–a fully preventable disease–recently. We can thank RFK Jr, and his crony Trump for de-emphasizing the importance of vaccinations. Recently, RFK Jr. quietly asked the CDC not to mention the deaths when they reported the current status. Pathetic!!! The US had declared measles as controlled until these two clowns warned parents that vaccinations were evil. There are nearly 4,000 active cases of measles currently, the worst outbreak in 60 years. And yet, to save face, RFK will not admit what ALL DOCTORS have said for years. Vaccines are safe and effective ways to prevent serious illness. THEY DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM. The White House Administration would rather ignore the facts and spread dangerous comments. Shame on them!!!!
- Trump again violated the rules when he handed three women, one was Natalie Harp–his protege-$45,000 each. This is simply not done for a variety of reasons. But, in this case, a leaked letter from Ms. Harp suggests an emotional attachment beyond government job duties. Apparently, the Donald thinks he really can do whatever he wants any time he wants to anyone he wants. Sounds a little like 1930’s Germany.
- A tariff refund of $100 million was distributed to Procter & Gamble recently. Everyone who bought P&G products actually re-imbursed P&G for the tariff paid originally by P&G but the refund went to a large corporation in consideration of their GOP allegiance. We’ve said it in prior posts. Every tax payer who files a Federal Tax Return in 2026 should receive a $625 tax credit. Based on the number of returns filed in 2025, this would approximate the $166 billion illegally collected by the Trump Administration. Regardless, the distribution should not be made to corporations-especially as a bribe.
NON-TRUMP COMMENTS?
- We said in previous postings that the Saudi LIV golf tour was dead. Today, they announced bankruptcy. No viable financing could be found. Now the players, the schedule, the rules and some raw feelings will need to be adjusted. And let’s not forget the major player in this re-shuffle, the advertising dollars. No doubt the American PGA Commissioner will have a busy winter, lining up tournaments, players, money purses, major events–all the while trying to mediate emotions. We wish him lotsa luck!
- The update on the dominance of the Los Angeles Dodgers is consistent with past postings. Since we last blasted the Major League Baseball Commissioner for not intervening in the creation of a long term dominance on a terribly uneven playing field, the Dodgers picked up Tarik Skubal, a two time Cy Young award winner from the American League. Anyone care to bet against them? Currently they have the second best winning percentage in baseball and lead their division by 11 games, the biggest lead of any division leader.
- Let’s talk college football. Yes, Western Michigan vs, The University of Michigan. We won’t cast any aspersions on the officials but…do you know what a Western Michigan win would have done to the money people? Las Vegas would have lost a huge bundle. Advertisers who ponied up millions for the Michigan-Ohio State matchup later this year would be incensed and look for ways to adjust their expenditures. All year long, every Michigan game would carry a stench of Not Unbeatable. As it stands now, many question whether the stench will be noticeable anyway. What do you think? remember, money is the name of every game.
- And finally, a rare occurrence. Leaves in our neighborhood are changing color very early this year. We actually raked leaves before cutting our grass since July. Is this possibly the result of air pollution that reduces the amount of sunlight trees receive? Do the trees react as if it were mid-to-late October because of a layer of pollution? We’d be interested in knowing if you’re experiencing the same oddity.
In closing, we want to remind all our visitors to question every ad they see during the campaigning season. Don’t let name-calling and cuteness distract you from the important issues. And, please recognize what you’re unhappy about and who put you in an unhappy place.
Thank you for visiting and UNTIL NEXT TIME….
