First, an apology is in order. This blog, anothersview, is authored in the United States. And while we have tried to present the failings of our Federal government, we have not formally apologized to the rest of the world. Donald Trump is not who we are–not by a long shot!!! His incompetence is recognized by 100% of the population but only about 70% will admit it. His failures have spilled over onto the global stage and almost everyone on the planet is suffering to some extent. From third world countries (Trump calls them “sh*t hole countries) losing USAID and causing thousands of unnecessary deaths to the fully developed nations whose citizens now pay more for tariffed products–this man is reducing the quality of life for all except billionaires. And so we apologize for your pain whether it is health, economic, psychological or comes in some other form. TRUMP IS NOT US!!!
Second, we are changing the format of the blog. We are shortening each topic and trying to provide only essential information. There will be exceptions, of course, because some topics will require explanations. But, as Shakespeare once said, brevity is the soul of wit. So, as we proceed, let us strive to keep our wits about us and grow together.
The following posts are in no specific order. We believe these subjects are or should be the top priorities on everyone’s list. We hope we touched on the items you consider most important. That said, let’s begin.
THE TRUMPIAN AUTOCRACY
- he will try to steal/control the midterm elections. His plan is to declare a national emergency–probably foreign interference into the election process–and control the count. He knows the consequences of losing control of Congress.
- To that end, he is offering to buy votes with an offer of $5,000 to each voter if the Republican Party controls Congress on November 4th. Now he’s offering a $500 Affordable Care Care “refund” to those affected by the Big Beautiful Bill elimination of Obamacare subsidies. Note that most subsidies were approximately $1,000/month.
- His selling of insider stock information for $100,000/month to big money pals (Hedge Fund Managers who are billionaires) should be illegal under the Constitution’s Emolument Clause and anyone who buys his “service” should be punished under the insider info laws of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Do you remember when the GOP screamed about Hunter Biden and his $50,000 Board payment from the Ukraine energy company?
- The Iran war is a real estate deal as we’ve said in prior posts. Trump gets the Gaza for resort development in exchange for getting Iran off Netanyahu’s back. Google “Kushner, resort, Gaza” for details. He’s spending American lives and our tax dollars to enrich himself even further. And while the war continues, gas prices soar–putting more money in the pockets of his oil exec supporters. Everybody wins!!!
- Trump should write a book “HOW TO ALIENATE FRIENDS AND CUDDLE ENEMIES”. His treatment of Canada, Ukraine and the NATO countries is appalling. And his catering to Russia, China and North Korea is a pathetic display of adoration. His ads call Democrats “Communists” while he swoons over Putin, Xi JinPing and Kim Jong Un as “we get along great”.
- And the Jack Smith process is PURE POLITICS. We all saw the Jan 6 riot and the 300 boxes of stolen and hidden classified documents. But Trump was stressed when Special Prosecutor Smith reported that he had reasonable evidence (an understatement if there ever was one) that Trump committed crimes and should be charged. Now the guilty are trying to indict and charge the innocent. Remember the GOP process when you vote November 3rd. Do you want more of this topsy-turvy justice system?
- Finally, Trump is using tariffs like school systems dole out detention slips. Instead of using tariffs to protect US industries he uses the to punish other countries that will not give hi what he wants. Like Denmark-they won’t give him Greenland. Canada won’t concede any tariffs on American imports to Canada so Trump punishes Canada with a tariff. Understand, YOU ARE PAYING FOR TRUMP’S CHILDISH BEHAVIOR WHEN YOU BUY.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (WE REFUSE TO USE THE TERM “SUPER INTELLIGENCE)
- In the 1950’s and 60’s the threat of nuclear war was all-consuming. People built bomb shelters, developed survival skills, school kids had Civil Defense drills under their desks. Today we have AI. The nuclear threat promised world domination to any country that survived a nuclear holocaust. But the loss of life, destruction of property and environmental impacts were judged as a zero-sum game. No one could be a winner in the nuclear game.
- Fast forward to today. AI, which has already shown its ability to leap from one system to another without human involvement, is threatening human existence. Some AI interactions have actually been found to hide information. THIS IS AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT–without the consequence of nuclear destruction and “fallout”. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT. The problem is: many nations are trying to perfect and use AI FIRST, because the prediction is whoever wins that race will dominate the planet. And since money is involved, Trump wants it all. Tread lightly, establish firm global guardrails, share information and try to guarantee parity in the application of AI.
- As an example of AI dominance beyond human control, suppose for a minute that AI determines that humans cannot live without water. The next step is to infiltrate (no pun intended) our water systems so as to contaminate permanently every major water supply on earth. In less than a month almost every living creature would cease to exist. And it would all happens with a sound, no bombs, no fallout of radiation and no widespread destruction of property. Think about it!!
HOW TO SCREW UP AN ECONOMY
Blog author note: Trump controls all official government stats so we need to question any number he quotes or is published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Inflation is rampant and the causes for it show no sign of slowing down. The Iran war and tariffs will continue to drive prices higher. Don’t blame Biden. The Federal Open Market Committee just raised interest rates by 1/4th of a point to curb inflation by 12 unanimous votes. The prediction is for another similar increase in December, 2026.
- Mortgage interest rates are higher (7%+) than in decades. This will slow down home buying, home building, appliance sales, and all the ancillary products that go into a house.
- Unemployment will grow as consumer purchasing power dwindles. Layoffs will mean even less consumer spending.
- We are predicting a recession in the second quarter of 2027. Car loan defaults and credit card balances tell of the economic squeeze being applied to the middle class.
- The suspicious new job creation stats reveal that less than 5% of new jobs are in the manufacturing sector. Your tariff “protection” is not bringing “Made-in-America” back.
- Trump says “he not interested in the financial problems of the public” so don’t expect relief any time soon.
CLIMATE CONSEQUENCES UPDATE
- August was the hottest month ever globally. Several US records were exceeded and resulting droughts are threatening to affect life in the American southwest as well as parts of the Midwest and the Southeast.
- Trump has effectively killed off what were Biden’s climate change policies. Trump has removed gas mileage standards for the auto industry. He has granted a $700 million coal industry subsidy to keep that industry afloat–despite the fact that only 9% of US power comes from coal. And even with that money-down-a-rathole gesture, many coal companies have gone bankrupt.
THE HEALTH NEWS
- AS we enter the perfect storm (not the weather event), RFK Jr. is still touting his anti-vaccine crap and, unfortunately, many parents are believers. Four people died from measles in Pennsylvania and thousands have been infected by the disease which had been declared “eradicated” in the last century. Then RFK and Trump came along.
- Because Musk engineered cutting the staff of the field inspectors of the Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration in half, we now have regional outbreaks of listeria, cyclosporiasis and other maladies. The “cyclo” problem was traced to a company that just happened to donate $1 million to Trump SuperPac on June 30, 2026. They were not cited.
- At exactly the wrong time, we face a second outbreak of COVID and seasonal flu. As non-vaxxers avoid preventive measures, this winter season will experience major health issues among the general population.
- The final blow is cost. ObamaCare had a feature that required healthy individuals to either join the plan or be taxed as a penalty. This feature was designed to stabilize plan rates for the general ObamaCare population. Trump eliminated the feature to improve his popularity. Now only the sickest people remain in the plan and rates are soaring over double digits yearly. Then to make things worse Trump eliminated the ObamaCare subsidies. This raised costs by another $1,000/month. Again only the sickest stayed, thereby exaggerating the anti-selection claims even further. Millions of people have lost their health insurance due to the incompetence of Trump.
- When we add the millions of Medicaid recipients to the list of health insurance castoffs, the amount of revenue for the medical industry shrinks exponentially. Over 300 hospitals have closed their doors and many more have reduced services because they had relied on Medicaid and ObamaCare patient income. This severely limits access to care–especially in rural areas.
- THE PERFECT STORM, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE!!!
THE FARMER’S PROBLEMS
Trump in his usual incompetence has no idea of how the agricultural industry works. So, as you might expect he’s screwed that up so badly with his usual bungling of factors. To wit:
- Farm implements run on diesel. Diesel prices now range up to $9/gallon. Ouch! It takes 300 gallons to fill a harvester combine.
- The war with Iran has raised fertilizer prices by 25% making this year’s harvest very expensive and next year’s harvest out of sight.
- The immigrant crackdown has severely reduced the number of field workers and those who will work the fields must be subject to minimum wage.
- All the transportation costs (trucks) and packaging materials (tin from Canada) added to the cost of the processed foods.
- Trump’s tariff with China reduced the Chinese market for US agricultural products by at least 50% so the access to farm markets is down.
- Canada, which had formerly bought much of our produce is now looking to other sources for next year–reducing prospects for market success even more.
- Trump has offered a $50 billion subsidy package to farmers but this will not begin to cover the monetary damage he’s done. Many long term generational farmers have ceased operations.
AGAIN, A PERFECT STORM DUE TO TRUMP INCOMPETENCE!!!!
QUICKIES…
- Anyone think having a Russian oligarch pay for an American President’s son’s wedding is wrong? Of course, you do–because it is. Dems are asking what will Putin want in return? They don’t realize that the wedding payment was the payback for action Trump already took. He denied Ukraine the right to make Patriot missiles to be used against Putin.
- The FBI hack is just another incompetent blunder…this time it was Kash Patel and his band of losers. Revealing all this info compromises our efforts FOREVER to run an effective investigation. Can you imagine how many nations will line up to buy that info and all the bad actors who will be able to identify and locate agents and their families? Do you realize how incredibly serious this failure is? Patel has a 22 year old sycophant in charge of cybersecurity in place of the hundreds of years of qualified experience that he and Musk fired at the direction of Trump. Sleep well!!
- Changing course, (pun intended), the Saudi golf tour is dead. Now the PGA Commissioner and te Royal and Ancient Golf Society in Britain will need to find ways to blend players into their existing non-defector lists. The US PGA has already discriminated against some Saudi tour players, saying they won’t qualify for some events and their 2027 season–long performance may not be counted in the Tour Championship. Hard feelings remain among players who stayed with the American tour. Buckle up, bumpy road ahead.
- Well, Major League Baseball playoffs have begun. Surprises include a very low payroll team (Milwaukee Brewers) winning their Division with over 100 victories. And, at the opposite end of that range, Houston won their division with the the worst record of any playoff team since the current playoff format started. They finished the year by winning and losing the same number of games. We’re again predicting that the Los Angeles Dodgers will win it all and have offered to bet a national sportswriter giving him–during the season-all 31 teams against the Dodgers. He declined but refused to admit that the MLB Commissioner showed no guts when he allowed the Dodgers to buys up all the best players. Dodgers win the Championship in 6 games in the World Series. Bet on it!!
FEDERAL INCOMPETENCE
You’re getting it piecemeal every day. Another Trump flunky stubs his/her toe and we all suffer. Whether it’s Trump himself, with tariffs, ballrooms, foreign wars, selling insider info, raising prices, or any of his sycophants, we are paying dearly. Look at the losers. Noem was a failure and lied about te cost of her cowgirl ads. Bondi was a disaster at the Department of Justice. Gabbard tried to speak up but ultimately crossed even the Trump line and was out of the picture. Lutnick revealed that there were Epstein videos that were traded among the Epstein clients and then he was silenced and no one picked up on that. Patel has made a number of gaffes and now allowed personal agent and family info to be sold on the open world market. Homan at ICE was caught in an FBI sting operation and no one made it stick. Blanche lied through his teeth about the Thug Slush Fund and the lifetime get-out-of-jail-free lifetime card for Trump. The Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration has reduced its overseeing of field food and drug processing resulting in several outbreaks of disease. And let’s talk RFK Jr. Here’s a complete fool who with neither science or medical background and no factual evidence makes policy for us with the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institute of Health. Give us a break! How soon will the American people wake up to the incredibly low IQ and capability level running our health, security, economy, and every other aspect of life in America? Remember these failures when you vote.
