As you know by now, chaos is the daily menu for the world–thanks to our fraudulent president. His appetite for destroying useful projects, allies and generally alienating positive democratic personalities is insatiable. He is the poster child for lying, cheating, grifting and power-grabbing. He has lead us into a world of dangerous consequences and predictably the loss of our beloved democracy. We have the perfect storm to sink our ship of state. We have an unprincipled greedy, power-hungry president who has no ethical standards. We have a compliant puppet Congress that actually tries to defend his antics as they suck up to the power of the presidency. And we have a corrupt US Supreme Court that has sold itself to the power rather than stand up for the legal principles this country has been living by for almost 250 years. What today’s postings are intended to reveal is the fallacy of the Trump presidency and its future for you and your descendants.
(THESE OBSERVATIONS ARE IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER.)
THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS
Sad to say but, Trump has a Constitutional pathway to to control the November ballot counts. (Article I, Section 4) He will use any excuse to assume that control. That’s the reason no one in the GOP worries about the election results. They know he will count and report the winners in every state. The Dems are clueless as to the strategy to stop him. And, as we forecast in prior postings, severe pressure among the voters will grow as November nears. Along with the Trump’s usual screw-ups and grifting, medical bankruptcies will increase as Medicaid and once-eligible ObamaCare subsidy recipients face financial ruin. The Dems should continue to remind voters that the Big Beautiful Bill took away their access to coverage while the BBB gave a huge tax reduction to Trump’s billionaire buddies. In a recent Gallup poll, 61% of those polled said that medical bill payment was their biggest worry–and this is only April. Maybe the outcry will dissuade some members of the GOP to break away from their gutless ways and stand up for their constituents. We’ll see, but the midterm elections are in serious danger of rigging at the hands of an unethical liar we call “president”.
IRAN WAR–NO, A REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION
Trump did not consult with Congress before he attacked Iran–either last year or this year. He couldn’t explain his reasons because he was merely processing a real estate transaction. Trump has agreed to take Iran off Israel’s radar if Netanyahu agrees to cede Gaza to Trump for a resort on the Mediterranean. Both “leaders” “enjoy” a mid to low 30’s approval rating. Netanyahu now reports that he has prostate cancer and obviously wants to banish the Palestinian civilization before he leaves office. Does that kind of talk sound familiar…like destroying the Iranian civilization? Trump is in effect buying resort property with the blood of our military and your tax dollars. Remember that in November–in case it matters.
PERSONAL ATTACKS ARE PURE REVENGE
Trump has tried to indict several individuals who were part of his legal investigations during the Biden years. The latest are John Brennan–former Director of the CIA and Jerome Powell–current Chair of the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee. Neither retribution attempts will work because–unlike Trump–neither of these proven patriots has anything to hide. Trump seems to believe that everyone has a dark hidden fact in their life BECAUSE THAT’S HOW HE’S LIVED. The Powell investigation has been withdrawn. Its only purpose was to harass Chairman Powell NOT to remain on the Committee after he leaves the Chair role. Powell seems to be planning to stay….good for him and good for us. Now we’re including the Pope in the verbal attacks because His Holiness speaks the truth and that is kryptonite to the Trump Administration. As a result of the Pope’s remarks, Trump–in a pure immaturity and pettiness move–removed 11 million dollars from a Catholic charity that has provided food for kids in Miami for over 60 years.. When will pettiness and frivolous lawsuits that use up resources be challenged? Where are you, Dems?
THE ADMINISTRATION CRUMBLES
First Noem, then Bondi, now Labor Secretary Deremer are fired. Incompetence can be hidden only so long. Secretary of Defense (or War) has relieved the chief Army Chaplain apparently due to his honest evaluation of the Iranian situation and his truthful words about following the Rules of Engagement. You’ll remember that Trump wanted to hang the 6 Congressional members who made a video telling the military that they should follow only “legal orders’. This video was aimed at the “double tap” engineered on the Venezuelan fishing boat incident. And now we learn that John Phelan, Secretary of the Navy, has resigned. The good news: he wasn’t even in the chain of command for the Strait of Hormuz issue because he had no previous experience, knowledge, understanding or competence in this area. He doesn’t even own a boat. He never served in any branch of the military. Imagine the travesty of such an empty cell in such a key role. As we watch the DC soap opera unravel, even the members of the Trump menagerie worry. Kash Patel, upon having difficulty to log into his computer one morning, advised staff members that he was fired and has been excluded from the inner circle. It turned out that it was his own computer malfunction that cause the problem but the point was made–they all worry about the shenanigans of an unstable president. Who is next…Patel, Brendan Carr (FCC), Gabbard (DNI), RFK Jr. (HHS)? They are all viable candidates whose only “quality” is sucking up unashamedly. We wonder if Matt Gaetz or George Santos are still lurking in the shadows, waiting their turn to kiss ass.
A VERY SCARY SIGNAL
Trump has directed the DOJ to investigate the Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC has for decades been the agency to investigate extreme radical groups whose methods are purely violence. Over the past 50 years, the agency has worked hand-in-hand with the FBI and the CIA to prevent groups like the Ku Klux Klan, the Oathkeepers, and the Proud Boys from acts of violence across America. The SPLC has shared information leading to the arrest and convictions of hundreds of bad actors before they could harm society. They have used confidential informants whose identities were closely guarded to avoid revenge by the radicals. But now, Trump wants to disrupt that system. He seems to be buddying up to the radicals by attacking the SPLC. The point: When the president of the US starts protecting hooligans who can damage us it looks concerningly like a recruitment effort. Is Trump trying to link up with the same group he pardoned after January 6? Is this a preparation for the midterms? Does Trump intend to use these deranged nut jobs and ICE to control polling places or just take over in November? Ask yourself “why else would he protect the radicals and oppose the agency that has hunted them for decades?” It’s a scary situation.
EPSTEIN—EPSTEIN—EPSTEIN
NEVER FORGET THAT THE DOJ HAS VIOLATED THE EPSTEIN TRANSPARENCY ACT BY NOT PROVIDING ALL THE FILES WITHOUT REDACTION. THE TRUMP IRAN WAR, POPE LEO DEBATE, INFLATION, RETRIBUTION AGAINST POLITICAL ENEMIES, AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT (if real), BALLROOMS AND ARCHES, ETC.–ALL ARE DISTRACTIONS. THE DEMS NEED TO PUSH FORWARD THROUGH THE SUPREME COURT OR A FEDERAL JUDGE–WHATEVER IS APPROPRIATE–TO GET JUSTICE FOR THESE VICTIMS. DO NOT LET HIM GET AWAY WITH HIDING THE TRUTH. EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD WANT TO KNOW WHETHER THEIR PRESIDENT IS A CHILD SEX PREDATOR. AND THOSE WHO DON’T WANT TO KNOW–WELL THEY’RE AFRAID OF THE ANSWERS BECAUSE IT MIGHT MAKE THEM LOOK STUPID AND ARROGANT TO HAVE DEFENDED HIM. KEEP THE EPSTEIN FILES FRONT AND CENTER.
TIDBITS….
- The Dems have attempted to discover the names and amounts of the donors for the proposed White House ballroom. Supposedly this project is being funded by private donations from the business community. But last week a judge blocked their efforts. The Dems were seeking to determine and confirm that no tax dollars were being used and questioning whether Trump had the authority to change “the people’s house” since he didn’t own it. The judge said that was an overreach and blocked those efforts. Questions: does he have a legal right to make radical alterations? is all the funding coming from private sources? will those contributing donors receive special treatment from Trump’s Administration in exchange for their money? We are now barred from knowing any of those answers.
- Next on the agenda is the Trump arch. It will be the biggest arch in the world. Funding is again being lined up from the list of private donors who will no doubt curry favor from Trump. It a sales job and business leaders are afraid to say “no”. Once Trump owns them he knows that they are his any time and for any purpose he suggests. We remember a time when ethics were center stage–now they’re not even a bit player.
- Trump has found a way to hand back the $166 billion tariffs he collected illegally. He’s going to give it to the business community instead of trying to give it back to the consumers who actually paid the tariff costs. Apparently, Stevie Miller has advised him that he is more likely to get votes from business people than the average voter so that is their distribution process. Fairness doesn’t enter in–just like it doesn’t enter in any decision.
- One non-political comment: artificial intelligence. While it’s impact is unclear, it’s potential is alarming. Unemployment is a clear result. Hollywood is learning that AI generated video can be produced at an infinitesimal fraction of the cost of hiring real actors, directors, etc. Movies can be produced without leaving the office and distributed as streamed products. No more will Tom Hanks get paid $20 million for a movie. All studios will lay off hundreds of employees and pocket huge profits. The consumer will probably see quality real-lifelike movies with no real celebrities. What will became of the actors? the same can be said for sound recordings. Studio produced products will not require any live performances. And, supposedly, quality will not be impacted. Two political comments are needed re “AI”: (1) Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei, had been banned because he initially refused to allow his MYTHOS system to be used to spy on citizens. When the Federal Government filed suit to force Anthropic to relent its position or be banned from the already signed contracts, Mr. Amodie saw the light. He backed off and Trump called him “smart people”. (2) The use of AI in weaponry is being explored and debated. Every aspect from robot soldiers to telemetry and other applications are in the mix. The future of that evolution is anyone’s guess because the US is certainly not the only country pursuing wartime usage,
