We caution visitors not to confuse a flurry of activity with progress. The Iran “war”, inflation, administration personnel changes, ballrooms, slush funds, and more are all intended for one purpose…to distract from the release of the Epstein files. Yes, Congress mandated their unredacted release last year with a December 19, 2025 deadline for compliance. And, no that didn’t even come close to happening. And, no, no members of Congress did anything to compel their release. And, no, we do not understand why nothing has happened. But we do know that all the outrageous actions of our president are intended to take Epstein off the radar. Question: even on the legitimate objective news outlet schedule–when did you hear the word “Epstein” last? Answer: a long time ago. We are being numbed into addressing today’s actions–as illegal as they are–and into forgetting that our president is hiding the Epstein files. Will the Dems ever be able to enforce the Epstein Transparency Act or is it doomed to be just another violation of law that Trump will enjoy throwing in our faces? His multiple violations of the Constitution without punishment are legend; even the Supreme Court accepts illegal presidential shenanigans.

POINT 2

Which brings us to the next general statement. Today’s posts may seem somewhat dated; but they really aren’t that old. It’s just that daily chaos is piled on–creating a kind of compounding impact. We focus on the “slush” fund or the ballroom, or the arch, or the personnel changes and forget yesterday’s atrocity. Bear with us as we look through and beneath the headlines to comment on recent events that may not have been completely communicated by the secular media. Our intent, always, is to broaden your view as we focus on the “why” of occurrences.

POINT 3

And, as a final general comment. It’s getting more and more difficult every day for MAGA and their ilk to defend Trump. The slush fund threw many off the sled and those still hanging on do so because of their jobs. Anyone who tries to tell you that rewarding convicted thugs for assaulting police officers is appropriate is a traitor and should be held as an accessory after the fact. More on this below.

THE “WAR” IN IRAN

The Iranian people will not surrender their honor. Whether you see that as a positive or a negative–it means the “war” (and it’s certainly a “war”) will not end soon. Trump doesn’t want it to end because his oil buddies are enriching themselves at our expense. The world market price for oil will cost Americans billions at the pump. But, as economists say, the economy is like a big balloon. Every single event causes ripple (or “multiplier”) effects. To wit: higher gas prices mean less travel during the vacation period–leading to fewer hotel/condominium room rentals, leading to fewer restaurant sales, leading to…well you get the idea. This sequence fails to address lower income families that must decide how to pay more for gas by cutting back on food, clothing, utility bills, insurance, etc. Our entire economy contracts and that means job growth is stifled. The recent jobs report cited that 173,000 new jobs were created in May. But a closer look reveals that nearly 97% of those jobs were non-manufacturing. Think about that. In the entire US, fewer than 7,000 new jobs were created in the manufacturing sector in May. Do you think the tariffs are helping to restore the “Made in America” objective? And, by the way, what ever happened to the $166 billion Trump collected illegally in tariff money? Have you seen/heard any process happening? See what we mean about daily atrocities? Back to “war”, Netanyahu must approve any deal Trump makes–according to the president’s statement. Why do you think he needs Israel’s OK to end the war when he didn’t ask Congress (as required by law) for permission to start the war? CHAOS IS THE PLAN.

EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN & SCOTUS?

We mentioned how the Epstein file release process has bogged down. And we need to reflect on why certain individuals will not actively support their release. Thomas Massie (Representative) of Kentucky has championed the effort and it cost him his job. One wonders why Trump made it an all-out campaign against Massie-UNLESS THE “PRES” IS HIDING SOMETHING. Let’s see how Massie reacts in the time he has left on his watch. But we also wonder whether SCOTUS has been dipping its oars on Epstein island. We know the conservative justices suffer from a severe lack of integrity and are consistent liars. So, maybe they are among the unredacted perps in the Epstein files. Maybe–behind the scenes–Congress knows that pushing SCOTUS to demand more access to those files could result in a reverse ruling that takes Epstein off the table. Think about that. Clarence Thomas is a liar, seems to readily accept bribes and tries to portray himself as an everyday average citizen–like you. But we know that’s a front. How about Alito, Kavanaugh, and the gang who unleashed Trump at every turn? Is it really unthinkable that they have tasted the fruit of the forbidden tree? Bottom line: MORE POWER TO MASSIE. LET’S FIND OUT WHAT TRUMP DOES NOT WANT US TO KNOW…AND DO IT BEFORE THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS.

MIDTERM ELECTION FRENZY

As we inch closer to November, both the GOP and Dems will ramp up efforts to control the election. The GOP knows that free and fair elections will doom their control of Congress–with the eventual third impeachment of Trump. So they are trying to reduce the number of voters because the theory is: more voters vote Democratic. They also gerrymander to deprive minorities of district controls. They install as many MAGA–kneebenders in election roles as possible in key areas. The Dems meanwhile try to guarantee elections with lawsuits. The US Supreme Court recently showed its ugly colors by denying Virginia its re-districting map–despite the fact that voters voted it in. BTW, that same court approved GOP engineered district changes in several states even though they were drawn up by GOP legislators and not submitted for voter OK. Such is the SCOTUS lean that it can be speculated that the conservative members of that court fear some unknown information or intimidation from Trump. That something could be a carrot or a stick, possibly a bribe. Do not doubt the low level that Trump will sink to if threatened. He has no integrity so it’s all “transactional”.

THE COST OF HEALTHCARE AND WHY IT MATTERS TO ALL OF US

The BBB is having a disastrous impact on health insurance affordability and this impact will increase at an ever-increasing rate until the BBB is repealed. Several million people have lost Medicaid coverage and millions have lost ObamaCare subsidies. So far this year, that means nearly 20 million people have no protection against unexpected medical events that cost out-of-pocket money to fix. We are an aging nation with a growing unemployment rate. The Kaiser Foundation estimates that plan deductibles approach an average of $3,800 and some go as high as $8,000/year. The families who face these amounts are not able to cover those expenses. The accompanying monthly premium is approximately $2,300. This is a brewing and about-to-explode disaster for them. Before 2026, 80% of all personal bankruptcies were caused by individuals who couldn’t pay for their medical expenses. How do think that number will grow after these BBB-inspired changes? And, as we see “big picture”, imagine the revenue loss incurred by hospitals, doctors and labs. Many rural hospitals have already shut down or limited services to ER only. Trump has offered a subsidy to the hospital industry but it’s less that 1% of the total expected hospital revenue loss. This, as a pure economic consequence, also means fewer jobs in the medical industry. But don’t forget the pregnant woman who now must travel 50 miles to the nearest hospital because her hometown facility is closed. Ripple effects continue…

THE MOST DISGUSTING TRUMP MOVE YET

So, we’ve reached a point where the soon-to-be US Attorney General, the nation’s top cop, supports a slush fund that can reward rioters who assaulted the Capitol Police in full view. Make no mistake, the Jan 6 rioters did the deed. They stormed the US Capitol, they destroyed much of the building, they occupied member’s offices and they threatened to “kill Mike Pence”. And then our president pardoned them—actually referring to them as “hostages”. Compare that treatment to the two Minnesotans who bumped ICE cars and tried to keep ICE agents from manhandling a defenseless woman–eventually killing them both. Do you see a degree of difference in their fate? But now the nation’s top cop is heaping insult onto injury. Not only is he allowing these thugs to go free, he is supporting giving your tax dollars to them as a compensation for being convicted wrongly and jailed. Have we become so perverted in the wake of the current White House Administration that wrong is not only right but should be rewarded? Is this the act of a country that is supposed to be capable of self-rule? Are we forsaking the values we’ve relied on for 250 years to appease an increasingly corrupt administration? I cannot understand how any sane person can abide by the decision to reward bad actors for their misdeeds. And to think that reward is not only allowed but supported by the US Attorney General is a disgrace we should all be ashamed of. I would hope a case can be made to charge the AG with complicity for misuse of tax dollars. But I’m sure he can “weasel word” his way out of any blowback and the useless GOP-controlled Congress will  bless his disgusting actions.

QUICK HITTERS…

  • Thomas Massie, House of Representatives member from Kentucky, was ousted by a concentrated effort by Trump who support Ed Gallrein, a totally inexperienced farmer. While this may be viewed as a negative we see some real positives. First, Massie–despite the Trump name–received 45% of the GOP registered votes in the deepest red state of them all. That means that nearly half of Republican voters chose NOT to align with the Trump choice. In Kentucky, that should be headline news. And secondly, Massie was opposed by Trump because of Massie’s pursuit of the Epstein files. So, how do you think Massie will be spending his time and efforts for the rest of his time in Congress?
  • Mr. & Mrs. Trump were unable to attend the recent wedding of Don Jr. Trump–ever the liar–said it was his love of country that compelled him to stay in Washington. We wonder: is that what he thinks about while playing golf several times a week? Or while ogling over the ballroom, or the arch, or the reflecting pool, or… Truth be told, the new Mrs. Donald J. Trump Jr., Bettina Anderson, is a staunch conservationist and distasteful to the king and Melania. She threatens to oppose fossil fuels, promote climate change, use of renewable energy, elimination of coal–all positions that will prove dicey for Don Sr. Let’s watch how long this temporary quiet period lasts. Will Bettina prostitute her values for the sake of family harmony or will she stand up for what she believes in? Stay tuned.
  • Do not believe all you read about the exiled former Attorney General Pam Bondi. We think her illness is a sham disguise intended to be used to hide her from further testimony. The Administration was too forthcoming about what most people consider HIPAA private info. Her recent appearance before a Congressional Committee was a joke. She failed to answer any probing questions. The Dems had to accept the GOP demand that she NOT testify under oath as a condition of appearing. Question: why would the GOP demand such a voluntary no-oath appearance unless they feared something might be revealed?
  • Trump is now scrubbing any reference to the Jan 6 riot. It never happened. You and millions of others around the world saw it but it didn’t happen. Even though we convicted hundreds of rioters who assaulted police, then pardoned them and now plan to reward them—none of it happened. Do you think we live in a pretend world where facts are subject to extinction or, at least, spinning into whatever we want them to be? Is this the way a country is operated? How can any sane person follow a leader who simply eliminates facts he doesn’t like? Isn’t that a step closer to Disneyland?
  • The Trump grift is overwhelming. The emoluments clause in the US Constitution be damned. This clown has and will continue to grift every dime he can while in the Oval Office. His 3,700 trades in the first quarter of 2026 set a record for the most trades by an individual or a mutual fund EVER. And many of those trades were made just prior to his announcement that specific companies were to receive mega government contracts. He is manipulating the market; but he can’t be held accountable. We guess that “high crimes and misdemeanors” do not include violating the Constitution. Why aren’t the DEMS pursuing this atrocity?
  • JOB OPENING: DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE…no experience needed; must be willing to suck up to Trump regardless of how criminal his actions are…must be willing to exit the job with a large bribe to refrain from telling anyone how incompetent the administration is or how stupid his instructions were. FOUND HIM: BILL PULTE, a perfect choice, no backbone, no scruples, can bend over to accommodate the president’s front or backside, has already shucked his integrity so that won’t get in the way, and will continue to pretend he cares about your safety. Combined with Markwayne Mullins, the new Head of Homeland Security, we have the weakest possible team in place to protect us from terrorist attack. All these thoughtful personnel changes as we war with Iran, the world’s leading terrorist player. What could go wrong?
  • Kilmar Abrego Garcia….remember him? He’s the guy who was arrested by ICE without evidence, deported to CECOT, a Salvadoran dungeon, and maligned for all sorts of crimes. AG Bondi said “he’s never coming back to America”. Well, he was quietly released last week and his story appeared on the back pages of the USA Today edition. There are currently several thousand “suspected” but not proven detainees jailed in interment camps all around the US. They receive little food, no medicine, no pre-natal care, no special attention and no legal representation…think of them as prisoners of Trump’s internal war. Is this the enemy Trump referred to when he denied that Putin interfered in our elections? Just another shameful and hidden-from-view manifestation of a power-hungry dictator who hasn’t been stopped from breaking the law–despite habeas corpus rules and due process laws that we used to be proud of. Where is SCOTUS?
  • A word about the US economy. Trump has a dilemma. He appointed Kevin Warsh to replace Jerome Powell as Chairperson of the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee. Trump was planning to use Warsh to lower loan interest rates to benefit the Trump real estate empire. But Trump also worries about job growth. The May report shows that 172,000 new jobs were created (only 7,000 in the manufacturing sector). Typically, a spurt of new jobs would suggest an interest rate hike. So Trump would be forcing Warsh to defy economic logic. Add to this dilemma the fact that ex-Chairman Powell–who is still a committee member–and the other committee members are clearly tending to support a rate uptick. Do you see the Trump dilemma? It’ll be “interesting” (pun intended) to see if/how strongly Warsh tries to satisfy his boss? Will he kiss the ring or do the right thing? The other major problem is that inflation growth is significantly outpacing wage growth. We can’t have that for any extended period of time because that will lead to the “R” word. Recession occurs when people are forced to curtail consumption habits which reduces production and causes plant layoffs. Again, stay tuned.
  • A final non-Trump issue…the reign of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Major League Baseball is finally realizing what we said months ago. Money is seriously and adversely impacting the game. They have acknowledged that 78% of teams have dominated the playoffs for the past 20 years. The biggest payrolls rule the post-season. Fast forward to 2026…The LA Dodgers are leading their Western Division by 8 games as we post today. They won last year’s World Series and they are the Vegas favorites to win again this year. Their multi-year ad contract with Fox TV broadcasting enables them to buy the best players at every position. This scene will continue indefinitely because dynasties in baseball tend to grow–not shrink. The difference here is that the Fox money will attract future ad dollars that will be directed at the Dodgers who will continue to absorb new baseball stars as they mature…a never-ending cycle. Ironically, the MLB Commisioner’s first attempt to solve the problem reveals his total lack of leadership ability. He asked the Player’s Union to consider salary concessions. What would you say if your boss said “would you like a pay cut?” They said the same thing–go away. Ironically the Commissioner had asked the team owners if they would tighten the salary cap and share future revenue so smaller market teams could compete on a more level playing field. The only team to agree seemed to be the Dodgers–who, by that time, had already sucked up all the best talent. The Dodgers realize that beating everybody every day would probably lose fan interest, shrink ad dollars and result in Fox needing to rescind or significantly reduce the dollars flowing to LA. Maybe the Commissioner needs to write a book like everyone else is doing these days. He could call it “How to ruin a good thing with too much money”. Then if baseball dies, he could live off royalties. See, it all works out if the bottom line is money.

We want to close with an apology. In the previous posting, we failed to recognize and honor the men and women who gave their lives for our welfare. Memorial Day should always remind us that freedom isn’t free, as someone once said. Those valiant souls heeded the Patrick Henry words “give me liberty or give me death” for all of us. A stark reminder of the solemnity of the day is that it’s the only national holiday where you never hear “happy holiday”. The military has always been there to carry out the distastefully dangerous tasks of protecting the homeland. We salute their bravery and dedication as we value the freedoms they provided with their sacrifice. May they all rest in peace.

Until next time…
