These words (paraphrased) were spoken by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Today’s trends severely challenge our bravery because our freedoms are being threatened. Never before has a presidency been more destructive, corrupt, grifting, lying and just about any other negative you can imagine. Donald Trump is a fraud. His actions betray a simple greed and power affection that support outrageous behavior. And the real tragedy is: no one cares to or can successfully stop him. Voters may walk away–polls show a 30% approval rating; Congress—with its GOP majority–shelters under his audaciously criminal motives to maintain control; and the US Supreme Court is fully corrupt as conservative judges lean heavily toward more power to the Executive branch. There are no longer three independent branches of government and that should prove how valuable the fore fathers intended system of checks and balances really are. All that we comment on-all the garbage that comes from the White House–has one purpose—-to move the Epstein file release to the back pages and eventually out of mainstream media. EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN, we can’t shout it loudly enough.
Today’s posts address the most recent travesties of our fraudulent president. As you read our “take” begin to realize how desperate he is to erase EPSTEIN from our collective memories. His distractions are a last resort to the violations of the Epstein File Release Transparency Act passed almost unanimously last year by Congress. You are right to worry that he will stop at nothing to keep those files–all of them in unredacted form–from ever seeing the light of day. Ask yourself “Why?” If he’s innocent–let the files prove it. The only reason to go to such effort to distract us is obviously that he doesn’t want us to see what those files contain. The really sad part is that many of his supporters continue to agree that Epstein is a closed book. We think they take that position because they do not want to know that they voted for a child sex predator to be president. Even Congress and the Supreme Court are complicit in this mockery of the legal requirements of the Epstein Transparency Act. Is the American society so tainted that it would rather not know that its leader is a child sex predator? Let’s focus on the distractions.
THE AMERICAN ECONOMY
By now you know how much inflation has diminished your ability to buy all the things you need for yourself and your family. The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will continue because Trump is rewarding his oil company execs who supported his re-election by driving up the price of oil–and everything else–on the world market. Typical of the Trump pattern, the rich pile up more and everyone else gets the bill. Again, Trump defied the Constitution by not seeking Congressional Ok to wage war. He can call it whatever he chooses–BUT IT’S A WAR. He’s treading water as he fills his buddies pockets and will not change course for a while, telling us daily that the Iranian war is over. Don’t trust him.
THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS
Sadly, the US Constitution allows Trump to control the elections. He can confiscate all ballots and supervise the counting and reporting of the results. AND HE WILL DO JUST THAT. No strategy we’ve heard from any opposing group will win that battle. The net result, of course, is a super majority of GOP members in both chambers of the US Congress. The scenario: our “elected” representatives will not align with 80% of their constituents. This is fertile grounds for a second American Revolution. When the will of the vast majority of the people is perverted to the greedy and power-hungry self-serving government pressure builds. Demonstrations happen, assassinations are attempted and carried out, chaos ensues and the societal fabric frays badly. We implore every sane person to speak up. As we have repeated the words of Martin Luther King previously “Evil triumphs when good people do nothing.” Don’t let our 250th anniversary as a nation be our last. (PREDICTION: GOP CANDIDATES WILL MINIMIZE CAMPAIGNING THIS SUMMER BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE TRUMP PLAN AND AREN’T WORRIED ABOUT BEING RE-ELECTED. IT’S IN THE BAG.)
THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION EXODUS CONTINUES…
Our president continues to strengthen his hold by replacing incompetent Cabinet members and others with more incompetency—only these replacements are more conniving and criminal than the first wave. Bondi left and has been replaced by a more clever–but just as damaged–Todd Blanche. His only salvation is that he was once a respected lawyer who has now sacrificed his integrity and revealed his true character. Noem left and has been replaced by a complete loser–now in charge of our protection. Others are leaving…we heard today that Gabbard has resigned with the story that she must attend to her husband’s health issues. A secret source says that she was asked to resign. let’s see the choice of the next buffoon who is charged with protecting our homeland. The Trump pattern is clear. He demands outrageous results that usually involve criminal acts and when the individual fails he brings in a replacement with the ultimatum that he/she accomplish what the last loser could not do. Example: Todd Blanche–a suck up of the highest magnitude. He’s actually trying to promote a “thug fund” so the Jan 6 rioters can be paid for the injustices they suffered under Biden. Obviously the “injustices” were the assaults on the Capitol police. Blanche wants the taxes of those victims to be paid out to the rioters who attacked them. If you can’t see the atrocity of such a act you’d better stop reading. Conclusion: we are in a very weakened condition and getting worse by the day. Imagine what two more years will cost us.
PERVERSION OF JOB CANDIDATES
We wanted to point this event out in case you missed it. Senator Chris Coons is on the committee to vet candidates for possible judge appointments. During the process he asked each individual “in your opinion, can Donald Trump run for a third term?” NONE–REPEAT NONE– OF THE INDIVIDUALS WAS WILLING TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION. That should scare us all when the next generation of judges is unable or unwilling to cite the specific section of the US Constitution that clearly says “two terms only”. See what we mean about backfilling incompetence with more devious incompetence. The pattern is clear.
THE NEXT WORLD-WIDE HEALTH SCARES
As this is written, two serious viruses are spreading throughout various continents. Hantavirus and Ebola are growing rapidly. Ebola threatens three African countries which have meager resources to contain them. And the Hantavirus outbreak is being poorly handled in different ways by different countries. First noted on a cruise ship, the Hondius, infected passengers have been returned to several home countries with varying levels of medical resources to check, remedy and contain the virus. In the US 17 passengers are quarantined in Nebraska in what was first a “voluntary” move. But–now that one of those passengers has tried to leave–they are being restrained from leaving the premises. It’s at times like this that we look to the CDC, the World Health Organization, USAID, the Secretary of Health and Human Services for guidance as we address the best defense against another COVID-type pandemic. Unfortunately, the CDC has fired anyone who disagrees with Trump and RFK Jr. The World Health Organization has been thoroughly criticized by the Trump Administration because it disagrees with RFK Jr. USAID has been disbanded under the Musk DOGE cost cutting initiative. And we have RFK Jr. as the non-scientific, non-medical “leader” in place to organize our defensive resources. IF THAT DOESN’T KEEP YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT, let us say it plainly…we have no capable defense against either outbreak. And no quick way to find those resources. INCOMPETENCE WILL EVENTUALLY REVEAL ITSELF IN THE FORM OF DISASTER FOR A SOCIETY–IN THIS CASE–THE WORLD’S SOCIETY. We hope for a miracle because that’s all we see as solving the problems.
SCOTUS AGENDA COMPARISON
Recently the US Supreme Court agreed to address the legal review of the weed killer ROUNDUP. The inclusion of glyphosate seems to concern the plaintiffs that this product may cause cancer. This is a worthy use of the court’s time. But is it any more important than the court issuing a mandate that all the Epstein files be released unredacted immediately? Is it more important to determine who among us is a child sex predator than to debate whether a product that has been used for decades causes cancer? Of course that issue needs attention but MORE THAN THE EPSTEIN MATTER? Selectivity within the high court is suspect and enforcement of the Constitution seems to get lost in the choice of priorities. Why do you think that happens?
THE IRANIAN “WAR”
Yes, it’s a war. No it’s actually a real estate transaction. Israel gets Iran off its back by promising Trump Gaza for resort development. Don’t believe it?….surf the net “Gaza, Kushner, resort”. Now you know. The real objectives of Trump’s war: (1) Gaza land for development; (2) raise the price of oil to benefit his rich buddies–both here and in the Middle East; and (3) exert power without asking permission so we get used to it. Can you see why Trump did not want to talk with Congress about his actions before he attacked Iran? He’s buying Gaza and enriching his friends with the blood of American servicemen and women and your tax dollars. Sounds like a plan–a totally unethical and unauthorized plan but what did you expect?
THE “THUG FUND”
We commented above on the absurdity of this effort. It is clearly illegal–but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Pursuing criminals, arresting, convicting and incarcerating them is supposed to be the chain of events. But pardoning those criminals, and rewarding them with the tax dollars of the police they assaulted is NOT supposed to happen. It is impossible for us to believe that the Acting Attorney General of the US would try to justify such an obscenity to a Senate Committee. But he did just that. Todd Blanche actually tried to say that he didn’t know who would receive payment because the committee of five would make those decisions. That committee is appointed by Trump or someone reporting to Trump and Trump has the final sign off authority under the proposed set up. And, as if that wasn’t enough, Trump will enjoy full discretion on all tax matters for him and his family FOREVER. THIS IS BLATANTLY ILLEGAL. Again, if you follow the rules–do you really need that? THIS IS JUST THE LATEST OUTRAGE AND EVERY ABLE ADULT IN THIS COUNTRY SHOULD RISE UP AND SAY “HELL, NO!!!!!!!”. Let’s hope this level of corruption will produce spinal support for enough GOP members of Congress that Trump won’t be able to fund $1.776 billion of guns, ammunition and other dangerous materials to his white supremacist mob buddies. We’re considering giving Trump a pay-off fund to bribe anyone to do anything he can think of. SCARY!!!
GENERAL CORRUPTION
Our loser leader is manipulating the stock market. His 3,700 trades in the first quarter of 2026 show that he places buy orders on company stock and then proceeds to announce/influence the Federal Government to issue a sizeable contract to that company…manipulation pure and simple. What is also disturbing–he doesn’t care who knows about it. He can do anything he wants to do. And don’t forget about the nuclear button he keeps his fingers on.
QUICK HITS….
- The second Comey indictment is a farce. But revenge is the motive and Jim Comey has irritated the supreme leader. The irony is that Comey is probably the reason for Trump winning in 2016. You may remember that 10 days before that election, Comey announced that he was investigating Hilary Clinton’s E mail account to determine whether she was involved in some form of election skullduggery. That had to cost a few votes and that’s all it took for Trump to win.
- As we reported many times the Saudi Golf Tour (aka LIV) has no logic behind it. The Saudi Public Investment Fund has spent billions of dollars to prop up a golf tour to rival the US tour. We have consistently questioned “Why”. But now the Saudi’s have decided to stop their support as the LIV season ends in August of this year. The LIV players reps are trying to secure funding from other sources. We predict that any such effort will fail–either immediately or within a year. Nothing can be gained by diluting golf by having two competing tours. Watch this happen.
- The loss of medical plan insurance coverage for millions of Americans will cause a huge increase in personal bankruptcies this year. As we approach the November elections, the Dems need to constantly remind people that the Trump BBB made this happen and repealing it will only occur if they vote Democratic. If fair and free elections do happen this will be the final nail in the GOP coffin.
- The Supreme Court struck down a re-districting plan in Virginia after Virginians overwhelmingly voted for the new map. But SCOTUS failed to follow the same path in Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee and South Carolina. YOU BE THE JUDGE and remember those “red state” maps were decided by their state legislature–NOT BY THE VOTING PUBLIC.
- Ohio State Public Employee Pension Funds saw a huge investment return in 2025. Unfortunately the actuarial process that is used to determine contributions to those funds will not recognize that gain. As a result retirees may lose benefits including retiree medical plans. In future posts we will examine the ridiculous methodology that prevents public employees and retirees from realizing the full value of the plans they contributed much of their wages into during their working careers.
