• This past week president Trump announced that he would be meeting with President Putin in the next two weeks to discuss the Ukrainian situation. At the same time he teased about making available Tomahawk missiles to the Ukrainian government in its struggle against Putin. We believe that these two disclosures were intentionally set up to pressure Putin into agreeing to sharing the Ukrainian mineral rights when and if Russia succeeds it is war effort. What is especially of note is that in our talks with China, China has indicated that they will not allow the export a rare earth minerals for military purposes to any country. In retaliation Trump announced a new round of 100% tariffs on all China imports. Connecting the dots it seems. If Russia wins the war we will have no access to Ukrainian rare earth minerals and if China blocks all these critical minerals for sale to the United States many of our essential industries in this country will undoubtedly fail. Imagine life without lithium batteries. Imagine life without the latest weaponry, now that we’ve alienated almost every nation on earth and encourage the alignment of all of our traditional enemies, China Russia North Korea Venezuela and Hungary. It’s not a pretty picture it is getting uglier everyday.
  • This week it was announced that John Bolton, former national security advisor to Trump, has been indicted by a Grand Jury on the charges of transmitting classified information while he was in the throes of leaving the Trump administration. While it appears that his defense will be adequate and that a “no conviction” judgment will probably be rendered, it is noteworthy that Trump has continued to accuse and persecute individuals for breaking laws that he himself or his Cabinet members have already broken many more times and to a much greater degree than the accused in these cases. Bolton is accused of transmitting 9 documents, Trump was accused of stealing and hiding 300 boxes of classified documents. Letitia James is accused of mortgage fraud because she made a clerical error on a single mortgage application which she corrected with correspondence attached to that application. Trump on the other hand was found guilty of defrauding mortgage applications for decades in his real estate company dealings. He lied to banks and insurance companies to lower his insurance premiums and increase the collateral value of properties already in his portfolio. Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of War (Defense) has been guilty of sharing war plans on unsecured communication lines including the revelation of those plans to an invited journalist. No comment or prosecution or even investigation was made of that transgression. Pam Bondi, attorney general, indicated during her (under oath) congressional vetting that she would operate an independent DOJ. Since that lie she has jumped to respond to all Trump enemies and as a result is now prosecuting John Bolton, James Comey, Letitia James, and anyone else who appears on his extensive list. Our point is: the rule of law is divided between friends of Trump and enemies of Trump. You can’t win unless you suck up. What’s really disgusting is the compliance of the US Supreme Court. If we were looking for conspiracies we could suggest that so much hidden guilt exists among the DC crowd and that Trump has the “goods” on all of them. That can be the only reason for the surrender of all ethical behavior.
  • The State of Ohio (Gov. Da-Weeny) has a law on its books whereby an individual my carry a gun into a bar AS LONG AS HE DOESN’T DRINK ALCOHOL. Do we need to explain how ridiculous that is?
  • One of the Federal Open Market Committee members, Anna Paulson, indicated that she is in favor of more interest rate cuts. She indicated that she doesn’t know how much or when and isn’t sure it will stimulate hiring–but she favors the cuts. Apart from the Trump “suck up” factor, any objective economist will tell you that rate cuts do not encourage businesses to build more plants or add more worker shifts IF THE WAREHOUSE IS FULL TO THE RAFTERS WITH UNSOLD PRODUCT. And–now that we have tariffs in place and inflation looming–how does Ms. Paulson propose to sell what we already have on hand and can’t get rid of? It reminds us of the old joke about inventory,,,,FISH, first in–still here. It would be funny if Ms. Paulson wasn’t acting the shill for the fraudulent Trump administration.
  • This week Admiral Holsey resigned unexpectedly. The curious connection: Trump has ordered the killing of 27 Venezuelan citizens who had the misfortune of being targets. Trump has offered no proof, evidence or explanation of those 6 attacks. And, for the record, these constitute acts of war. Only Congress can declare war so Trump should have clued someone in or at least gone through the motions of getting approval. Now he’s talking a land assault. Does Congress get paid for NOT doing its job? Another irony: Members of the GOP House are getting paid for NOT BEING AT THEIR JOB BUT STAFFERS ARE NOT BEING PAID BECAUSE THEY AREN’T PERMITTED TO GO TO THEIR JOB. If I were House Speaker Mike Johnson I’d wonder why I show up for work…oh, BTW, NONE of the GOP members have shown up for work because they don’t want to seat the new Dem Rep from Arizona. You see–she’s the deciding vote on the release of the Epstein files. See how this all fits together.
  • The national weather forecast is out and it focuses on La Nina…a cooler than average South Pacific Ocean. All the local weather experts have jumped right on the report and tried to explain what that means to their audience. Well, forget it. We have the “skinny”. Watch the wooly worms in your area. If they have a mostly light brown coat–milder than usual weather for the winter. But if they have a black coat–bad weather ahead. Fortunately our area of the US sees a lot of brown wooly worms and we are assured that the only ice we’ll see on our city streets will be wearing bullet proof vests and carrying large weapons of mass destruction. Lucky us!!!
  • Ask yourself “why would a president dismantle green energy initiatives including those nearly finished? Why be against reducing air pollution? why ignore ocean warming that is killing coral reefs? why pretend glaciers aren’t melting? why turn your back on coastal flooding that has never happened before?” We think the answer is simply money…the money that Big oil companies pay Trump. They want to protect profits at the expense of the planet, its people and future generations. Come up with another reason–if you can think of one. BTW, Trump is preparing a policy statement that defies third grade reasoning. It says that greenhouse gases are not harmful to the public health. Any takers on that one?
  • The Federal Government shutdown is on-going. The Dems fight for medical coverage for millions while the GOP fights to maintain its power. Trump is vowing to fire government employees and/or deny them back pay. He can do neither legally–unless of course the US Supreme Court falls in line again and does the dictator’s bidding. Let’s see how that skirmish turns out.
  • And the Nobel Peace Prize goes to…no, not him. He pardoned hundreds of criminals who assaulted his own Capitol Police. He watched for 187 minutes while the Capitol was sacked without lifting a finger–even as they chanted “Hang Mike Pence”. He authorized six unprovoked attacks on Venezuelan boats and killed 27 people–without providing any explanation or proof. He stationed ICE agents in blue cities to create confrontation where crime was on the decrease. He snatched people off the street, detained them for months without any charges filed. He violated his own Constitution several times and ignored the requirement that Congress should be involved. He re-named the “Defense Department” and it’s now the “War Department”. And this is the individual who wants a PEACE PRIZE? No. Can you in any reality see him in the same category as Mother Teresa? Enough said. Case closed.
  • A major error is about to be made by the Democratic Party in New York City. The front runner for the Dems in the next Mayoral election is Zohren Mamdani. He has no chance of winning against the GOP candidate–no matter who it is. Mr. Mamdani is a Muslim and–while we have no problem with Muslims–can you see native New Yorkers vote for a man who shares his religion with the Saudis who are recognized as the masterminds of the 9/11 terrorist attack? They are also responsible for the death of an American journalist, Jamal Khasshoggi, and dismembering his body. These are the same people collaborating with Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner on billion dollar business deals. And New York City is the beating heart of the Trump real estate empire. Trump wants to control New York City beyond Eric Adams term. DO YOU REALLY EXPECT NEW YORKERS TO VOTE FOR A MUSLIM? WE DON’T QUESTION THE MAN’S INTEGRITY FOR A MOMENT AND HE MAY BE HEAD-AND-SHOULDERS ABOVE ANY OTHER CANDIDATE. But, the fact remains, HE IS THE BEST OPPOSITION THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION COULD HOPE FOR. So don’t let the fake rhetoric fool you when Trump publicly indicates he’s concerned about the Mamdani candidacy. And just remember how a black lady running for president last year did in the south. DEMS TAKE NOTICE–THIS IS CRITICAL.
  • It should not have been a surprise when Trump commuted the sentence of George Santos…kinda like one total fraud helping another total fraud. They understand each other. But ask yourself “why would Trump, President of the United States, stoop to that level? Was he just showing power? Or does George know something that Trump wants hidden? Is there, perhaps, an Epstein connection? George is too young to have debauched any of the hundreds of young children that Epstein/Maxwell abused but he may have some key to information that unlocks a door.” STAY TUNED. Maybe George will be named to a Cabinet post. He’s already a proven liar and that’s a major star in his crown among the Trump menagerie. Remember, Musk resurrected all this Epstein file stuff with his off-the-cuff comment that Trump was mentioned in the Epstein files (you know, the ones Pammy Bondi says don’t exist).

WE LEAVE YOU TODAY WITH SOME WORDS OF WISDOM:

RESOLVE TO BE TENDER WITH THE YOUNG, COMPASSIONATE WITH THE AGED, SYMPATHETIC WITH THE STRIVING AND TOLERANT WITH THE WEAK…BECAUSE SOMETIME IN YOUR LIFE YOU WILL HAVE BEEN ALL OF THESE,
