He wants to demonstrate pure power–even when it is totally unnecessary. First, he wants the homeless removed from his sight. They are an affront to his sensitivities. Like the disabled American war veterans and the reporter he mocked, Trump wants no sign of less-than-perfection. Out of sight…out of mind. Second, he wants to control the DC area with our military. He says crime is a problem. Fact: Crime is down 24% year-over-year in DC. But trump wants to show his ability to rule his domain. This is in keeping with other Democratic-dominated areas like California (used National Guard & Marines) and Illinois. Wherever possible–and sometimes totally unnecessarily–Trump shows power in “blue state” areas. Expect this power trip to continue to spread geographically as he psychologically “invades” Democratic voters strongholds. It’s both a mind game and serves as just another distraction from the Epstein files investigation.
