Now that religious people–especially Catholics–know that the Pope is not endorsing the supposed “pro-life” presidential candidate they are free to vote on all the issues without the threat of sin. Trump engineered and brags about putting the three perjurers on the Supreme Court. He owns the death of Roe v. Wade. Now that he sees what a mess he’s made of state control we’re sure he’d like to find a way out that doesn’t look like hypocrisy. But that’s almost impossible at this stage because of the “red” states outrageous miscarriage (pun intended) of abortion bans. Remember what pain this issue has already caused and what it threatens to do if enacted on a national level. If the GOP had simply legislated a number of weeks that an abortion could be performed and a set reasonable circumstances that would allow a legal abortion this whole mess could have been avoided. But–instead of backing off–they doubled down. And it will kill their chances in November. Imagine yourself as a young couple in a deep southern state with a family history of miscarriages or difficult pregnancies. How comfortable would you be trying to get pregnant with the knowledge that you could die in the hospital parking lot because a simple life-saving procedure had been outlawed by old men in your state’s legislature? REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER.
