Donald Trump is “pro-life”. If you believe that, STOP READING. You won’t like what follows. After boasting that he was solely responsible for the overturn of Roe v. Wade by using perjured Supreme Court justices he started seeing the writing on the wall. Nearly 85% of all Americans believe that abortion care should be available. But–as we know–several states have severely limited or totally banned abortion. Trump watched as EVERY state that addressed abortion as a ballot measure voted pro-choice. Trump knows that this single issue will cost him dearly in November. It will also cost the “down-ticket” GOP candidates. And that, of course, could shift control of Congress to the Dems. So Trump, the pro-lifer, has decided that it’s ok to have an abortion up to 15 weeks of gestation but after that he’s all pro-life. There is no getting around this as a purely political attempt to salvage some votes. But the question is: how many religiously inclined votes will he lose? The answer probably lies in the 15 week issue. He was probably told that he would gain more votes by allowing abortions up to 15 weeks than he would lose by taking that position. FYI, there is nothing magic about 15 weeks. And Trump is not an MD. And situations occur that a simple time period cannot address. We urge voters to see through this charade. We think Trump will revert to the national ban position if (may God forbid) he wins in November. Just like the three Trump-appointed SCOTUS justices saw no reason to disturb the Roe decision when vetted under oath by Congress–he will abandon common sense and the will of the majority and ban abortion. This is the practical reality facing Americans if the rule of law, common sense and majority rule are ignored. NO ONE CAN JUSTIFY OLD MEN MAKING RULES THAT TAKE THE CONTROL OF WOMEN’S BODIES FROM THEM. This is a personal decision and should always remain so.
