File this story under “public pettiness-revenge”. The Indiana Attorney General is trying to have the Indiana State Medical Board discipline Dr. Caitlyn Bernard for performing a legal abortion on the 10 year old Ohio rape victim. His charges are: (1) she revealed medical information and violated HIPAA. This is nonsense. Everyone who followed the story knew exactly what was happening. (2) He charges that she failed to report the child abuse. This is wrong also because the incident had not only been reported in Ohio where it happened but the perp was already charged and sentenced before he alleged failure to report the crime. We suggest that the AG be reprimanded for gross waste of taxpayer funds with his frivolous charges. (3) he charges that the doctor only performed the abortion to promote her own self-interests. Well, we can see where the AG would suggest that but the abortion was legal and the AG disputed it in his own state. So who was really vying to promote themselves?
