Have you ever heard someone say “he’s got his Father’s brains”? The assumption is that the intelligence level of the parent has been passed on to their child. Theoretically, a genius will never be born to mentally challenged parents—it’s not in their genes. Now consider “artificial intelligence”. So-called “AI” is being developed by various tech companies to accommodate a multitude of applications–everything from military use, medicine, industrial production, etc. And the latest fear is that someday “AI” robots will evolve and decide that the human form is inefficient, ineffective and basically a waste of space. Most members of the human race are already there–we know what a mess we are and therefrom springs the fear of mechanical domination. But as frightening as that possibility sounds it contains its own resolution. Going back to the parent-child analogy, does anyone really think a totally flawed human being (even a bunch of them) could ever produce perfection in a robot? Come on!!! We may program a machine to accomplish specific tasks but perfection—never!!!
