If we hear the term “unprecedented” once more we will know the answer to the question. Time and again our national and state forms of government have failed us in recent times. Whether we cite the US Supreme Court or the many Federal judges it is obvious that the judicial system is broken. Bias, financial and political, have succeeded in compromising fair and honest decisions. The Congress has failed to act honorably when faced with obvious facts. The GOP hypocrisy and about-face on the January 6th riot is truly an embarrassing example of lack of integrity. State governments are openly defying the US Constitution by violating the separation of church and state with the Ten Commandments and suggested use of tax revenue to fund religion-oriented schools. A convicted felon, election obstructionist, stealer of hundreds of boxes of classified documents is running for president. Millions of people are supporting his candidacy by ignoring his total failures during his previous term. Yes, these are “unprecedented” times and the only way we, as Americans in a free society, can pull the democracy train back on its rails is to voice our opinions in November. The courts and Congress refuse to protect the Constitution they have sworn to defend. We the people are its last resort. If you’re still undecided, ask yourself “how will you explain to your kids and grandkids why you voted for a convicted felon for president?”
