Every revolution in history starts with the immense dissatisfaction of the vast majority of citizens in the country. We can check history for the French (let them eat cake comment from the Queen), the Russian (execution of the Czar and his entire family), the Cuban revolt (Castro and the Communists) and even our own. The events that precipitated the American Revolution against England have been documented as the Stamp Act and other overbearing rules, laws and taxes that drove the colonists to take on the imperial and world-dominating British Empire. Our ancestors must have been pretty upset to challenge such strength–David vs. Goliath. Fast forward to today, the top 1% of all US citizens are richer than the entire middle class. Our former president, Trump, gave them a $3.5 trillion tax cut to heap even more wealth on the favored class. The question must be asked: “how soon will America become a class society where the “haves” control not only the wealth but also the standard of living for the “have nots”?” How soon will our laws be slanted to favor the powerful and subject all others to whatever is left? It’s a picture right out of the Europe’s Middle Ages where nobles ruled and peasants groveled for a mere existence. You may think this is an unrealistic assessment but consider that the GOP is bribing the Supreme Court, convicted and admitted felons who tried to overthrow the US Government (Bannon, Flynn, Stone and Navarro) run free and the Appellate courts are facing threats of violence–including juries, clerks and judges. There is clearly a trend to forcing the will of the few on the needs and rights of the many. That–whether you like it or not–is the fertile field that grows and harvests unrest leading to revolt. If Trump prevails through court trials and the election America has written it’s own obituary. The US Constitution will be forgotten except for maybe the Second Amendment. Think about it.
