It was only a matter of time before the cracks in the T-rump staff started to show. Every day we see what would be laughable if it weren’t so dangerous. These are just some of the unqualified lackey moments over the past week:
- RFK Jr.– head of Health and Human Services–put out a mistake-riddled report that was called out before the ink was dry. The White House (think T-rump) spun it as formatting errors and other honest and correctable guffaws. Did anyone read it before it was presented to the taxpaying public? Why didn’t the staff catch the errors? is anyone being fired for such a huge blunder? Thousands of unsuspecting but experienced staffers were fired when RFK Jr. took over and he replaced the people who apparently were capable. What does that tell you about the current crew?
- David Richardson–head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency admitted during a hearing that he was unaware that there is a period from June 1st to November 1st that has the designation “hurricane season”. Should we be amused or angry that the T-rump choice to prep and provide assistance to our coastal regions has never heard the term “hurricane season”? You be the judge.
- Kristi Noem– Director of Homeland Security has been the on-field “leader” of all the deportations since T-rump took office. When asked during a Congressional hearing about habeas corpus she blithely defined the term with 100% inaccuracy. Imagine–the person who directs thousands of deportations has no clue how habeas corpus works. She explained it this way–we’re paraphrasing “The president tells me what to do and I do it. He has the right to remove any resident under habeas corpus.” WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her mis-understanding of the meaning allows T-rump to come into your home and route you to a foreign prison WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. Oh well, that’s just a US Constitutional right so we can avoid it–seem OK to you?
- Tulsi Gabbard–Director of National Intelligence–wow, that requires an industrial size imagination. This is the woman who fired all the experts and replaced them with people who swear fealty (extreme personal loyalty) to T-rump. This is the same person who held private talks with Assad, the brutal Syrian dictator for years; she also lobbied to repeal a powerful government surveillance tool known as the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s Section702 (she lied about her former opposition under oath during the vetting process); and she supported Edward Snowdon, a former government contractor who leaked classified information to the press about spying activities. THIS IS THE PERSON WHO CONTROLS 19 SEPARATE INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES. Does that make you feel safe? If not, don’t try to move to Canada or Mexico or any former ally because Marco Rubio has shut their borders to us by threatening gestures (leave NATO, annex Canada, steal Greenland, etc.).
- Donald T-rump– The president has a gaffe a minute. Every question leads us to believe either he didn’t hear the question, doesn’t know the answer or spins a lie to see who buys in. When asked whether he was required to abide by the US Constitution, he said “I don’t know. I have brilliant attorneys working for me and they will tell me”. Imagine–just 4 months ago he swore “to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution” but today he just doesn’t know. We knew he was ignoring the rules–we just didn’t think he’d admit publicly. Think about the implications of a president who sees no rule of law to respect. Think of 1930’s Germany. Try to imagine any difference–you can’t because there isn’t any difference.
