• EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN–EPSTEIN: Every once in awhile a moment comes along where an individual’s clear intentions are laid bare. President Trump is currently approaching such a moment. Ghislane Maxwell sits in a prison and had requested that the US Supreme Court consider her appeal for pardon or further leniency in her conviction. Yesterday, The US Supreme Court rejected her appeal and that puts the onus clearly back on our president. Without doubt Mr. Trump knows that Ms. Maxwell holds the key to his Epstein connection. Obviously Ms. Maxwell wants to be free and she is now down to her last resort, a pardon by the president. If he agrees to pardon her he will be turning out a convicted child sex predator/trafficker into society without any evidence of innocence. If he chooses not to release her he knows that she can provide intimate details of our president’s relationship and dealings with Mr. Epstein. That presents a very dicey problem for our president. This can clearly be called a “watershed moment” for not only Mr. Trump but also for the hopes of the GOP as they continue to support the man as he sinks. Will he decide to pardon or fail to pardon Ms. Maxwell? Watch for the details as Mr. Trump tries to find a way to avoid Epstein file disclosure. Perhaps Ms. Maxwell will suffer the same fate as Jeffrey Epstein. The next development will be quite telling.
  • We need to talk government shutdown . The Democrats and Republicans have dug in firmly to negotiate the terms of reopening the federal government. While most of the country seems to sympathize with those people who have lost their Medicaid and food stamp coverage the Republicans criticize the Democrats for denying wages to hundreds of thousands of federal employees. Mr. Trump has threatened to layoff or fire several federal employees during this shutdown. We are here to tell you that his advisors know that it is illegal to do so and therefore, as usual, Mr. Trump is puffing. Because the majority of people in this country blame the GOP for the shutdown Mr. Trump has offered to provide a restoration of the health care subsidies for those people who would lose their coverage under Obamacare. This restoration for a limited number of people would save them up to 400% increase in their medical plan premium. However the president has blinked and voter pressure coming from his GOP constituents will force him eventually to cave completely. He knows that strong words in the face of voter contempt is the quickest way to kill one’s political aspirations. More than that all his GOP experienced counterparts who may be up for election next year feel the same pressure and worry that current red states may suddenly become blue or at least purple. Watch for Mr. Trump within the next two weeks to to cave in. Mr. Trump will blame the Democrats for increasing the national debt and any other negative he can bring into the discussion.
  • The recent history of our country has normalized a new and alarming level of violence is an acceptable way to carry out business as usual. It all seemed to start on January 6, 2021 when armed rioters attacked the US capitol in Washington DC. While that was in and of itself is an outrageous situation, the real problem was created when President Trump pardoned all those individuals in 2025. We witnessed them assaulting the US Capitol Police. He called them “hostages” as opposed to convicted criminals they were. Nonetheless, the acceptance by our president that assaulting a police officer was OK has led to further violence on an escalating scale. Even if the recent bombing of a federal judge’s house in South Carolina was an accident it tends to undersore the rash of pizza box threats that have been waged against federal judges in the last few years. Anyone who opposes Trump is threatened by the dark side of his support group. This pattern will only lead to a self destruction of our democratic and civil society. We should all be horrified that violence is becoming acceptable behavior–especially with guns outnumbering people in America. Are we to revert to the old west of the 1870’s?
  • Recently an article appeared in a Gannett publication indicating that US Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas is questioning the value of precedent in our legal system. His perspective seems to attempt to justify abandoning previous major court and legal decisions in favor of “new territory”. While his objection to “stare decisis” is obviously an attempt to justify the incredibly corrupt decisions he’s participated in lately, it falls far short of explaining how other courts including previous Supreme Courts Justices decisions were correct and somehow need to be changed during his tenure. This is a feeble attempt by a corrupt individual to justify his pathetically deranged notion that he must follow the Trump agenda wherever it goes–even if it means ignoring past valid decisions.
  • The GOP has many different strategies as they attempt to overthrow the stronghold democratic cities and states that could possibly oppose them in future elections. A perfect example of this strategy is the mayor’s race for New York City. While the GOP bemoans the fact that an individual named Mamdani is a formidable candidate for mayor next year in New York City the GOP knows that the ethnic backgrounds of the individuals who will be voting for that mayor will never elect a Muslim to lead them. Mr. Mamdani may be a very qualified and capable individual but he has little chance of winning the democratic primary and even less or no chance of beating a well funded Republican replacement in mayor of New York City. This method of reverse psychology seems to be working to convince the Democrats that Mamdani is a viable candidate to replace the currently corrupt Eric Adams. We hope the Democrats realize realize that this is a ruse and set up a candidate who can retain the leadership of New York City for the Democratic party.
  • Our illustrious president is floating the idea of a new coin with his profile and picture on both sides of that coin. We are advising everyone to immediately buy as many of these coins as possible because it will be truly unique. To-date, all coins have heads and tails sides. But this coin will only have tail sections on both sides. Think of the back end of a jackass and you’ll be able to spot the coin immediately. It will be truly unique among American currency.
  • Today is Vladimir Putin’s birthday. We were wondering whether our president who claims to be bosom buddies with the ruthless dictator will be sending him a birthday card. We wonder whether he has any more cards like the one he sent to Jeffrey Epstein celebrating Mr. Epstein’s 50th birthday. On Mr. Epstein’s card Mr. trump had the outline of a woman showing various anatomical parts and signed in a rather obvious place. We wonder what theme the Putin birthday card will use and we look forward to seeing how creative Stephen Miller–Trump’s nefarious advisor, can be when trying to cajole a ruthless dictator. Stay tuned.
  • This installment of misleading headlines contains the following two stories: parentheses 1 ) the headline read “Miran may be overstating migrants inflation impact”. This story quotes a Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Miran to the effect that by deporting as many migrants as possible we will lower inflation. His logic is that by deporting migrants we will reduce pressure on housing prices and this should be a positive on the lowering of inflation. The same article refutes completely Mr. Miran’s comments for many many reasons. But unfortunately the balancing and correction of the headline appears much further down in the article and is not readily apparent. ( 2 ) this headline says “Report details slow LA fire response”. Apparently the Los Angeles County Commission initiated a study to determine the efficiency of their response to the recent wildfires in California. The article describes fully how error-prone the Los Angeles fire defense effort was. It criticizes communication, delivery of services, methods employed, and a number of other related issues. What the article does not show is that the report was generated by the McChrystal group. If you Google “Stanley McChrystal” you will see that this individual served this country from 1976 to 2010. You will also see that Mister McChrystal, a former general, was a very strong leaning GOP personality during his entire tour of service. Almost all of his promotions came during Republican presidency terms. Beyond that he was summarily criticized during the Obama administration for comments that were decidedly anti establishment. Despite offering an apology he was asked to resign and did so immediately. This is the individual who’s company provided the evaluation of the Los Angeles county wildfire defense. You be the judge. Do you think this evaluation was objective?
  • We will talk about guns and their impact on American Society until mass shootings are a distant memory. A recent study in the Cincinnati Enquirer reflected on current changes in the Florida gun laws. The study showed that open carry laws are linked to suicides, violent crime, and police shootings. While suicide is the biggest problem in pro-gun states there is also a double-digit increase in the number of police officer shootings and other shootings beyond the point of reasonability. In other words, when gun laws are liberalized gun related deaths across the board increase. This will only change when the Republican Party stops taking campaign contributions from the NRA and other gun sponsored groups. We, at another view, do not want to hear how responsive the authorities were to another massacre at a school. supermarket, concert or synagogue. These events should never happen.
