We need to focus on the ridiculous communication process coming out of the White House and the Trump menagerie. These are just some of the gaffes:
- The Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, delivered a statement that there would be no exceptions in the treatment of migrants. At the same time Trump was excusing migrants in the hospitality, farming and other industries that he called “hard working” people who have held their jobs for over 20 years.
- The Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, shut down the flow of weapons to Ukraine without telling Trump. He immediately looked for an out to explain why the two disagreed. How many people died in Ukraine because of that screw-up?
- President Trump bombed Iran because he said they were building a nuclear weapon. At the same time, Tulsi Gabbard–his Director of Homeland Security–was telling the press that they have no information to confirm that Iran is building a nuclear weapon.
- Pam Bondi, Attorney General, flatly stated that Kilmar Abrego Garcia would never be returned to the US. Less than a week later he was returned without her involvement.
- RFK Jr. constantly rants against vaccines but recently he suggested that vaccines might be helpful.
- And–last but not least–we have Kristi Noem, Director of National Intelligence. She indiscriminately rounds up dark skinned people with a large ICE fishing net. When asked what “habeas corpus” meant–she failed to answer correctly. Or more importantly she said that it meant whatever Trump said it meant. Now we understand where she’s coming from.
It’s obvious that none of these people are qualified for their duties. And their communication skills are sorely deficient. How long can a clueless structure support America’s interests? Wait for the next catastrophe and watch how the brain trust performs. Maybe then even some of the MAGA nuts will start to question their loyalties.
