After an inadvertent Elon Musk dropped the Epstein bomb on Washington DC the open wound festers. Epstein was convicted of child sex trafficking that apparently involved over 1,000 individuals. Unfortunately Epstein’s relationship with one Donald J. Trump is well-documented. And we all know about the Hollywood tape comments where Trump described his affinity for women who let you do things when you’re a star. A couple of interesting observations: (1) the GOP seems to be pursuing the possible Trump name in the Epstein files. MAGA is pushing the envelope while Pam Bondi changes her story daily. Some days she says there are no file names; some days they are on her desk to be reviewed; some days she thinks the files contain bogus info that was inserted by prior administrations (why would she keep such bogus info?); other days she just defers to Trump who plays it straight because he knows that he has Congress and the Supreme Court in his pocket and they won’t let anyone dirty their leader. (2) why isn’t the name Ghislaine Maxwell being prominently mentioned? She was a long-time Epstein consort who had to be involved in many A-lister meetings. She must have a mountain of salacious details floating around her memory banks. Maybe she’s afraid she’ll end up like Epstein–a highly suspicious suicide. (3) is MAGA possibly considering dumping this lame duck president because he’s gotten them to the promised land (control of all three branches of government) or is this just a smoke screen so they can take control of any investigation and whitewash its final report? (4) We all hope that Alan Dershowitz (who has knowledge of such a list–he says) or some other insider can leak the names and force the issue. The you-know-what may hit the fan right before the mid-terms and we’ll see who gets all the free publicity. (5) our best guess is that right now a ton of backroom negotiating and strategizing is happening. All the politicos, their family members, and the media are scrambling for the list–a prize that could rock the very foundation of the Washington DC scene.
