When Ms. Bondi was vetted before Congress (a useless waste of time), she promised that she would operate the Office of Attorney General as an independent department without political influence. That is a total lie. She has repeatedly sought to do the president’s bidding. She has supported his retribution crusade and is now investigating celebrities who campaigned against him. Current targets are Bruce Springsteen (who Trump called “a withered up prune”– such class in a president is rare–thank God), Oprah, who donated funds to Kamala Harris and Beyonce. She defends the illegal action of deporting US residents and blocking their return from dangerous prisons in foreign countries. She’s using DOJ resources to defend the loss of DEI monies despite the fact that the law is not at issue here. The president is simply acting as a racist and the Attorney General of the United States is helping him. Over 270 lawyers have resigned from the Department of Justice in the last three months in protest due to their unwillingness to support gross “weaponization” of the function. That’s 80% of all attorneys and it represents a huge loss of expertise going forward. Every position will be filled by Trump suck-ups- no doubt. They will pave the way for any incursion into any criminal area he chooses.
