We won’t bemoan the statistics that you already know. There are more guns in circulation in this country than there are men, women, and children in this country. There are many more mass shootings in this country than there are in any other country on earth. Not a week goes by that we don’t learn of another slaughter involving innocent people caught in a gunfight on some street, in a church, in a supermarket, at a concert, or some other venue. So recently when the US Supreme Court took up the issue of ghost guns it would seem obvious to anyone with common sense that ghost guns can only make the situation worse. For your information ghost guns are those weapons that have been assembled crudely or by increasingly complex operations and have no serial numbers, no tracking device on sales in this country. As ghost guns become more accessible the problem of violence and mass slaughter can only get worse. Obviously only criminals will avail themselves of ghost guns and that means that any ghost gun is intended for criminal and violent purposes. So when the United states Supreme Court considered whether there should be regulation for ghost guns two of our Supreme Court justices actually voted against any regulation or restriction on those weapons. Thomas and Alito are the 2 guilty Supreme Court justices and they deserve our anger. It is inconceivable that anyone would support the proliferation of these weapons. However, when a Supreme Court Justice supports it we are outraged at the influence of gun lobby groups. Make no mistake about this, it is not a Second Amendment issue. It is a matter of common sense not to support unregistered weapons in the hands of hardened criminals whose goal is to do violence to our general population. For a Supreme Court Justice not to see that point is an abomination.
