As we endure a constant onslaught of stupid moves by our president it becomes obvious that his focus is on getting even with those people who attempted to bring him to justice for the many crimes he has committed. But he also knows how to be inefficient. Ask yourself “am I getting the maximum value from my tax dollar when my president does this?” As a result many of the things that he is wasting American taxpayer time on are petty in nature and have absolutely no redeeming value to the progress or even the maintenance of our country. Examples continue to surface. The latest: (1) he has decided to remove all DEI references from both the Pentagon and the Arlington Cemetery website. Any American hero who was African American or indicated a gay lifestyle or was included for any reason other than being white has been wiped from those websites. Just recently the outrage apparently for the Pentagon “cleansing” produced such a blowback that the DEI information has been restored to the that website. (2) The next petty move was for president Trump to condone Musk’s surprise invasion to the US Institute of Peace. The hundreds of people who worked in that building were shocked to see Musk simply walk in and tell them to leave one morning. This institute is a nonprofit and funded by a grant by the US Congress. It has been in existence promoting the message of peace around the world for over 40 years. According to Trump it is no longer necessary. At a time when there are wars in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Gaza, and pending in Iran, Syria, and other parts of the world–this again is probably the worst time to eliminate any agent for peace. Apparently Trump and Musk didn’t think first before they acted or they simply don’t care about peace. Stay tuned for the next petty move by your president. Ask yourself “is this why I put this man in the position to destroy small lives, address minimally important issues, and demonstrate power simply because he can?”
