We told everyone through this posting some time ago that appointing unqualified, incompetent, and inexperienced people to important jobs at the federal or any level in any organization would prove to be disastrous. It was only a question of time until a major event occurred that challenged the unqualified person in that job. The measles outbreak in this country is the first such glowing example. First, understand that measles is fully controllable with the use of a vaccine and had been officially conquered in this country several years ago. As we speak, 18 states have over 400 cases of measles among all ages of the population. Two people have died from the measles infection. Our current Health and Human services director, a cabinet member, RFK jr., refuses to admit the value of vaccinations. This will lead to a continuous growth in the number of measles cases. More people will probably die. The cost of healthcare and the interruption of lives will grow. Keep in mind that none of this is necessary. It is simply the product of an unqualified individual leading the nation’s health interests. Until RFK jr. admits that he was wrong–which is highly unlikely–we will have a continuation of the measles epidemic. Our guess is that the administration will try to put some “special spin” on this growth and explain that it really isn’t the measles or it is a strain of measles that the vaccinations would not have stopped. They will simultaneously begin the quiet behind-the-scenes process of vaccinating people in the areas where measles are rampant. Politically, they will do all they can in the Trump orbit to avoid admitting a mistake. This is a failure caused by another unqualified–and in this case–dangerous individual being placed in a position of authority. He has no clue nor does he want one. This is who we elected by choosing Trump to be the leader of the free world. Let’s just hope that the next failure does not involve a Homeland Security catastrophe or national defense functions. We have incompetent “leaders” in those areas as well and those kinds of problems do not move as slowly as a measles outbreak. Remember this when you talk to your GOP representative the next time. Ask them if anything can be done to remove these clowns before they do irreparable harm to our citizenry.
