As we move along the campaign timeline a subtle but consistent pattern is emerging. The GOP world is slowly eroding at the media and judicial levels. Watch Fox News and notice how they now have moved more from the extreme right to the center. Their regular commentators now speak less positively about Trump and even question some of his statements. They no longer cover his rallies. When he makes what appear to be mental errors (like saying the debate audience loved him and THERE WAS NO DEBATE AUDIENCE) FOX OMITS SUCH GUFFAWS. Even the Fox guests seem to downplay the Trump aura in many interviews. They are moving away because they know what will happen in November and they don’t want to be left holding an empty bag–where viewers used to be. And another shift is occurring in the courts. Recent court cases (for example, North Dakota) have seen judges throw out restrictive anti-abortion laws. The judges apparently worry that being re-elected is more important than following ridiculous laws passed by their state legislatures. This centrist move will continue and escalate as November approaches because GOP officials know that can’t win re-election if they oppose the will of the majority. If only the Republican national Committee members were that intelligent….
