The GOP has a problem. When your candidate for president has been convicted of 34 felonies, sexual assault and many years of defrauding insurance companies, banks and taxing authorities you must find a way to distract the voters from seeing reality. Republicans have shown their strategy…attack every Democrat you can think of. So far, these have been their targets: impeaching Joe Biden (no evidence so dropped); force Hunter Biden to testify before Congress (when did that ever happen to a private citizen previously?); impeaching Secretary Mayorkas because he wouldn’t implement the plan drawn up by the GOP on immigration (actually, he wanted to implement the GOP plan but Trump told his lackeys not to fix the problem because he wanted to use immigration as a campaign issue); holding James Biden–the president’s brother accountable for business dealings that revert to 18 years prior (dismissed for lack of coherency and evidence; holding Dr. Anthony Fauci accountable in a Congressional hearing for his failures during the pandemic (laughed out of session for obvious reasons); calling Attorney General Merrick Garland before Congress for his failures–whatever they stated them to be. All this noise is designed to take the focus off the Trump convictions and the other factual evidence in the Florida documents case and the Georgia election obstruction trial. Voters will see through this charade because it grows flimsier every day as Trump displays more lunacy. In the end, it simply lowers the entire Republican Party to the same gutter level of politics that Trump inhabits as his domain. (Did you know that Marjorie Taylor Greene filed Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden on the second day of his term?) Stay tuned for a blue tsunami in November.
