At the risk of numbing you to the problem, we need to visit the latest stats. A recent study of tree rings (who knew?) shows astounding temperature patterns. NOAA–the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration–looked back over 20,000 years at tree rings (who knew?). The study showed that our current (last 30 years?) is unprecedented in warming data. While some meteorologists dispute the findings, the unchallenged result is that we are heating up at an accelerated rate since the industrial age began. So long as we continue to use fossil fuel we will continue to increase the negative climate impact. And beyond temp, we need to think about weather severity like the number and intensity of tornadoes, damaging hurricanes, rivers of moisture–all at a level never seen before. The tragic part is that most countries either ignore the facts or make the situation worse by increasing bad practices. Stay tuned and aware. What started out as fight to reduce pollution has now evolved into a much higher stakes game.
