In the interest of fair play, we need to point out a recurring theme in today’s written media. During the early months of 2023–when inflation roared and recession was predicted by many so-called “experts”–the Biden name was prominently plastered into the early paragraphs of every negative article. Now that inflation is less than half of what it was, unemployment is way down, full employment has been achieved and maintained, the prime rate has stabilized and there is talk of possibly a rate cut in early 2024–where is the Joe Biden name? It appears that he was solely responsible for all the bad news but somebody else fixed all those bad things. Biden was being blamed for a recession that NEVER happened. Did you read any posting that recognized this reality? Of course not. A good example recently of the secular press (USA Today) was criticism of Gavin Newsom, Democratic Governor of California, for the $68 billion budget deficit and all his failed fiscal efforts to correct it. The truth is that the deficit was less than half of that number and it had been anticipated by the state. Reserves filled that void from a “rainy day fund” and projections going forward show expected budget surpluses for the next two years. None of this was mentioned in the bogus article. This entire article of misleading information is filed to discredit Governor Newsom on the strong possibility that he may end up being the Democratic Presidential candidate in 2024 and they want to condition the public to believing he is a failure in fiscal matters. A bit subliminal–don’t you think? Last year Governor Newsom won a referendum election handily. If the folks in California like what he does–why can’t the USA Today give him a balanced objective image? Answer: The USA Today is a media partner of Fox News so don’t expect honest reporting from that source.
