- This is the list of large voter blocks offended by the Republican Party: the military (Tuberville), students (the Biden Loan Program cancellation), veterans (called “suckers and losers” by Trump), the LGBTQ+ community (statements by numerous GOPers’ and the current Republican Speaker Mike Johnson), almost all women (the anti-abortion stance), all anti-violence citizens (accepting NRA and other gun lobby money so that gun laws are liberalized) and the Jewish Community (Trump’s critique of Prime Minister Netanyahu). Whoever is not on this list MAY vote “red” in 2024. But the GOP still has time to add to this list.
- Economy Update…after all the hype about recession (which we predicted would not happen) a recent report states that the US economy is humming along very nicely. The third quarter shows a 4.9% GDP growth on a seasonally adjusted basis…a far cry from recession. Our unemployment stats are still very healthy showing a 3.7% rate–considered “full employment’ by all economists. And that is prior to the coming holiday season where thousands of temporary workers will be hired. The Federal Open Market Committee has finally stopped raising interest rates so we can expect pent up borrowing to resume as businesses expand operations, retool and hire more workers. Don’t listen to the critics of “Bidenomics” who choose to mislead you for purely political reasons. And be careful of media headlines. They know you will keep reading or watching TV if they scare you with negativity. Consider that newspapers like the USA TODAY and Fox News have a runaway bias against the Dems and a need to employ scare tactics. The Dominion Voting Machine scandal proved that.
- The United Auto Workers strike is over and people cheer that the average worker got his due. Well, remember that the next time you want to buy a car. Those 23% to 25% increases and upfront bonuses will require somebody (YOU !!!) to pay for them. And long term, the price of US made cars may become uncompetitive against foreign makes. So some of those workers you saw on the picket lines may be seen next in the unemployment lines. Just remember, Joe Biden didn’t cause unemployment to increase–costs increase and company management caters to its shareholders. That’s just the price of capitalism.
- Social media platforms are again under fire. This time the Supreme Court is evaluating First Amendment rights against the harm/misleading info/dangerous talk found every day on “X” (formerly Twitter, Face Book, Instagram, etc.) As artificial intelligence evolves and is combined on social media platforms it will be almost impossible to communicate any messages without some form of verification. The capability of social media will easily outrun our ability to safely control content. We predict that eventually social media will either be delayed and subjected to some filtering process or eliminated entirely. “The pen is mightier than the sword” and nowadays EVERYONE HAS A SWORD!!!
