Just wanted to make a quick observation before the tournaments begin. This basketball season EVERY team in the Men’s brackets has lost. Often–actually–lower ranked teams or even unranked teams have beaten higher ranked teams. As usual we need to fold in the possibility of injuries before or during the games. And, to us, this is the most obvious time of the season where the ability of the coach(es) is most visible. A good coaching staff will scout opponents, measure their weak points and strategize his/her own players abilities to match up successfully on the court. Bottom line: we believe this year’s Men’s tournament will be full of more surprises than any in recent memory. It has been said that “any team can beat any other team on any given day”. That won’t just be a theory this year–it will be a daily event…should be fun to watch–unless, of course, you picked the favorites in your bracketology. We predict that most of the #1 “seeds” in each region will not make it to Houston, Texas for the finals. Keep your “cryin’ towel” handy.
