To put this Committee’s Report into perspective, it represents findings that various witnesses with varying credibility levels in questionable evidence situations. What we’re trying to say is that–as damning as various witness comments were–they may or may not be evidence. Repeating what others told you without you actually being present at the time is purely hearsay and not admissible. Secondly, the high bar to indict or convict is almost akin to mind-reading. What was Donald Trump’s intention as he experienced the January 6th riot? Did he intend to start the riot? What was his plan–if any? How did he see his own involvement? Why did he not intervene for 187 minutes while watching the even on TV? We think the big picture needs to be introduced into a proper assessment of this single event. It is impossible to evaluate intention without looking at Trump actions before, DURING, and after January 6th. We know the Committee reported on the meetings, E mails and phone calls before January 6th. But our point is that those occurrences must color in the intent question as though they are a chain of contacts showing what he wanted to do, how he planned to do it and what extreme measures he was willing to undertake–legal or otherwise–to retain power in the White House. The Department of Justice should also link the Mar-A-Lago Top Secret document incidents into the assessment. It appears that the former president not only stole the docs and tried to hide them but also disrespected the safety of America by not securing them for an extended period of time. This incident should tell Attorney General Garland and Special Prosecutor Jack Smith that Trump had no real concern for the country. He simply needed bargaining power and saw those docs as a possible trade value item. We’re suggesting that the DOJ fold in the Top Secret docs episode into the evaluation of Trump intent consideration. Also, the Georgia phone call clearly supports the Trump single-mindedness of preserving his power base–even if it meant compromising the Georgia Secretary of State. In our judgement, intent will become clearly evident IF all Trump actions are included in the DOJ investigation. Case closed.
