OMG !!!! The President of the United States greeted the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia with a fist pump. He didn’t shake hands and he didn’t kiss him and he didn’t hug him—he greeted him as a visiting dignitary. In the context of maintaining oil supplies during a gas price surge this meeting was a must and came at the right time. Americans were clamoring for relief at the gas pump but were unhappy that the president was trying to free up additional supplies of oil to accomplish exactly that result. For the purists–yes, he did ask about the Kashoggi incident–but that was not the purpose of his trip. Now, Kashoggi’s fiance has gone so far as to say that Kashoggi’s blood is on Biden’s hands. What rubbish!!!! Compare this to the Trump declaration that he believed Putin when he said Russia had not interfered in US elections. This Trump conclusion was reached despite every intelligence service here and in other countries advising otherwise. And eventually the truth was revealed that Russia had been interfering in many US elections. Where was the outrage then? An old saying “Politics does make strange bedfellows” is never more obvious than in the last few years. The question we should ask “What is the motivation for any seemingly out-of-character actions?” Is a fist pump OK to lower US gas prices? Is abandoning all reputable intelligence sources OK if you want to build a luxury hotel in Moscow?
