The “Big Lie” is a big lie. The election was not stolen. Sorry if any readers are Trump fanatics but its’ true. If you still believe the election was stolen, please stop reading this blog. You are hopeless and helpless. What is especially disturbing is that many campaigning candidates are currently touting the “Big Lie” as part of their speeches. They are trying to hold on to what they know has been debunked and, in the process, continue to spout the same BS that riled up the January 6th mob. This must stop. Freedom of Speech has its limits. You can’t shout “fire!” in a crowded theater when there is no danger of fire. The logic is: your Freedom Of Speech” is limited at the point where you create unnecessary peril for others. How is that logic any different than allowing a candidate to shout “Big Lie” to an impressionable crowd–when they know it’s not true? Someone needs to tell them that–if a riot occurs because of their speech–they may be held accountable. Freedom of Speech is an American benefit ONLY when it does not injure other Americans. Then it becomes a potentially dangerous crime.
