It is fair game for one political party to critique the actions of the other party. But that right carries responsibilities as do all rights. If the GOP wants to ding the Democratic administration/legislators/party in general it must do so from a positive perspective. In other words, simply pointing out mistakes without suggesting solutions is not acceptable. But this GOP goes way beyond that basic failure. This GOP admittedly attempts to block EVERY ATTEMPT by the Democratic party without regard to the value of the change. Mitch McConnell has stated plainly that he will do whatever he can to thwart any Democratic effort. Where was Mitch when President Trump suggested using bleach to kill COVID? Where was Mitch when impeachment for attempting to blackmail a foreign head of state to win an election was being investigated? Where was Mitch when then-President Trump lied about his womanizing? Where was Mitch when he was running for his life from an angry mob on 1/6/21? How about the failure to turn over his tax returns–the first president in history to do so? What was he hiding–the fact that he paid only $750 in Federal taxes because “he was smart”. (I guess that says the rest of us were stupid.) It’s easy to blame Biden for inflation, immigration, abortion, the Ukraine War–but how much did he really cause those situations and how many ideas have you heard from the GOP to resolve those issues? Sorry, GOP, you forfeit your right to critique unless you help to resolve. And sabotaging Biden’s efforts is NOT considered help.
